Squats (knees were feeling fine)

140kg x 1 belted. Came up easy enough, probably 170ish there

140kg x 12 - plenty more in the tank.

That was yesterday. Today I'm on crutches. Dreamt that I had my knees operated on. On the plus side, muchos DOMS

Been dicking about with grippers, got up to 200lbs for 10 reps. 4-5mm off closing the 250. Would love to close a 300. Lots of that last night, then impromptu training session today. I was ready to do some light squats and then bench, did none of that.

Shrug machine
120kg x 100 reps (15s, 12s 10s, 7-8 towards the end, most sets to failure with about 90 seconds rest)

Stiff armed lat pulldowns - 75 reps in about 5 sets. Bit less rest as they were quicker to jump on/jump off

Face pulls - 50 reps

Popped two blood blisters. Soft, girly hands. Forearms are now dead. All good fun.

Bench - 60kg x 8 - felt heavy
80kg x 8,8,8,6,6 - couple more reps in the first few sets, 6s were maxes. This is pants

Pec dec - 1 warmup, 4x8 work sets

Triceps - 4 sets of 10
Biceps - 4 sets of 10

Abs/Hypers - 3x10

Exactly a month later. Not smoked for almost 3 weeks now (e-cigs notwithstanding, but that's technically steaming)

Leg ext - few sets of 15 just to get the quads awake.

3" Axle clean and press (assuming axle weighs 30kg)

Has been a long time. Might compete next year. Gutted to have not gotten that 200 (shirted obviously) bench, so longer term goals are to get to that sort of standard. 130-135 raw first, then a little boost up to 160 raw, then shirted numbers.

Bench
60kg x 3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3 - Wide, medium and close grips. 30 seconds rest. Fast and easy (as it should be, but can up the weight next week)

3" axle cleans
40 x 3
60 x 3
70 x 1
80 x 1

3" axle deads
70 x 3
110 x 3
150 x 1 - 15 second hold at the top, grip still going strong.

Tricep ext - machine
3 x 15

Tricep ext fat bar
12,12, 5+7 pushdowns

Squats - because some broz were doing 1/4s
60kg x 3
100kg x 3
120kg x 1
140kg x 1 belted - all very deep.

Box squats
100kg x 3,3,3 - good bit of speed.

Knee didn't like it, but getting it patched up some time next year.

Lat pulldowns - leaning back (a la reverse benching?)
Setting 4 - 8,8,8 reps, all paused on t'chest.

On paper this looks like very little. Felt tough. Need more GPP.

Speed - 60 x a few triples. Very snappy, very happy

Slingshot that was 3 sizes too big for me - 60kg x 3 - did my elbows in from the speed. Too much fun.

Fun times on very little sleep. Conventional deads were far too slow.

My log is nothing special - just benching and some other bits and bobs every Tuesday as I'm now a proper narrowback.

BTN Push press is behind the neck. Makes me feel like Pudzianowski.
