WILLSAN said:If the qualifiers from BSM are coming from this years process why can't all the qualifiers come from comps in the preceding year? I mean, it just seems nuts to me to cram the entire u90 season into jan-may. It's not long enough for a proper qualification process and completely eliminates the entire summer. Which is obviously the best time to organise competitions! Im all for there being a worlds and having a proper path to it but, if its going to make the domestic competition unworkable we will be shooting ourselves in the foot.

Completely agree, I also don't see y all the promotors can't just talk to each other to get a proper structure to the sport.
That been said it's still better with these comps on. If the none national comp promotors can adjust when they host there comps to fit between June to September then it could all fit in nicely.

I agree with Wilson on some points...it does seem lie its crammed in but on the other hand it could be good to get all the quals done early on in the yr,with all then none quals(st Ives, bulldogs bash, royal counties)running thro summer...

But I think yr after it should be quals jan-April with bsm, esm, wsm later in yr Aug,sept,Oct for example...

I don't think its unworkable, just requires some adjusment.

Unworkable was overstating it. But is it ideal? Do we want to be competing in car parks in the coldest, wettest months of he year? The prospect doesn't fill me with enthusiasm, and trying to get anyone to come and watch is hard enough in April, let alone in the middle of winter.

I'm guessing its a done deal so I won't bang on anymore. I just hope this works, as participation isn't at it's best and if we loose more competitors it could be a problem for the division.

I spoke to Dave Meer earlier, and he is looking to do BSM later in the year again (but maybe not just as late).

Do they have to be in car parks?

I would hope participation would be increased as the goal would be to compete at ESM which will be offering top three to Worlds, Euros and Brits.

I had forgotten to clarify before that the top 3 from ESM and winner in Scotland, Wales, N.Ireland, and Ireland will go to Euros later in the year which will be by Renegade Strongman.

it great for us u90s to get a worlds and im sue the process will improve...

I personally think its Bette to put the quals on early, and the other comps could easily fit in through the summer so there is still plenty of options to compete

it seems you cant please everyone, whatever the dates for the main comps are. previous years everyone complained the quals, esm, bsm, euros was all too spread out lol.

Ty has a good point, if quals and other nationals were early on in the year then BSM, Euro and Worlds later on it would give the people who qual time to focus n train properly on the big comps. the people who dont qualify can then plan their comp season around the other comps as Ty mentioned.

however we cant expect whoevers running worlds to fit in around the british comp season so maybe our organisers can discuss it and fit our season around worlds. i think about 6 weeks between the main comps would work fine.

6-8 weeks is enough to rest after 1 comp have a good 4-6 weeks training for the next comp and another deload before it. anything less doesnt really give people time to prep for each comp seperately imo. which in terms of euros/worlds we need to give our athletes the best chance we can i think

March: England's Final
May: World's

November: Europe's Final

the first part looks fine to me, and the second part isnt my concern as i wont qual for them but im sure everyone would agree it would be better if BSM was a month or so before Euro's
