Wondered where you and Pagan had got to. I saw you when I first sat down than you were gone. You had a tough job compared to the other guys who were lugging the sandbags around!

really enjoyed the comp great to see pretty much all the top guys under one roof
what a line up

for me
good points
mrs felix ran the show awesome, you will never get a comp to run perfect no matter what you do or say but that was close enough

good events people can go on about the time it took for hold set up but in months to come who will remember that, but for years people will talk about felix's 1m30sec performance, crowed clapping away loving every sec

crew where so handsome in their tux shirts

great auidience

i enjoyed watching and meeting guys for the first time alex was a nice guy, thought jack done great and will have a big future he reminded me of shawn

was nice to see loz and tell not saw them since 07 still top blokes

loz winning log and stones

rob hitting some bodybuilding shots

mark westaby beating felix on farmers you dont see that much

stones where exciting felix dropping one jimmi fumbling exciting action

meeting some top sugden blokes you know who you are !!

ken and carl actually meeting up it was so cute they looked so nice together

carl holds his 150k well and i thought for some reason he would have a squeeky voice but he had a bad ass lock stock accent

teasing ken all the way home about being in love with carl

jimmy marku's socks

felix kilt

bad points
i did not get to play

Les is a top MC and mike was not doing him justice, crowed lossed out

terry getting injured

terry and jimmi being late !!

and thats it

cant wait for next one
well done to everyone

What a great day, went down with a mate of mine who loved it also. I was a bit concerned personally, as I was on nights and had not slept for over 24 hours, that I might fall asleep during the day but there was no chance of that !! Well worth the mental fcuk up I'm now enduring due to sleep deprivation !!

One thing that stood out was the fact that all the athletes were such good, down-to-earth lads who were so approachable all day... It was a fantastic spectacle and the calibre of the athlete's on show was top-notch, which was good given that it was an 'exibition' type of event rather than anything ranking or qualifying as such... good effort.

There were a couple of 'flaws' during the afternoon, but at the end of the day, nobody goes home remembering that s**t, and lets face it, they happen at whatever event you go to... we dont want to be spoilt, we just want to see great athlete's lifting crazy s**t !!

On another personal note, I've never considered myself to be a 'small' person, however at a very average 5'9" and 15 stone, I've never felt so inadequate in all my life... I actually felt like a small child at one point...

Though the risk of getting sold something crazy like nose tork was quite high...

I actually bought some of the nose tork, got home and threw it down, my little lad asked what it was, I explained briefly before running upstairs to take a leak. I returned to find a heartbroken 12 year old writhing around it agony on the sofa after taking a good old lung full... he won't do that again !!

It was a pleasure to help out yesterday in what was a really well organised show put on by mrs Felix who was as cool as cucumber all day.
Having 4 head to head events made great entertainment for the audience and some of the performances were awe inspiring, the stones in particular were fantastic.
It was great to see young Jack mix it with the big boys and Alex was superb. Once he gets his deadlift up I can't see many beating him.
I could go on all day talking about individual perfomances!
It was nice to meet some of you sugdenites also!

It would be nice to see detailed score sheets if someone could post them up. It's almost impossible to keep track on the day !!

Really enjoyed the comp, very well run and well organised, a credit to everyone involved in my opinion.

Only criticism I would make is the shortage of food for the fat lads and problems adjusting the equipment for the grip test robbed a couple of competitors of vital seconds.

Overall excellent job though, thanks a million to everyone involved for putting on a great show.

Great comp. Really enjoyed the day. Great to see jack mixing it with the beasts and showing what he's capable of. Outstanding performance from alex, great effort. And of course great to see mark get the victory which he thoroughly deserved.

Great to see/meet everyone, look forward to the next time!

It was good.

I agree that for powerlifters, the deadlift reffing made us go "wtF??" but as Joni said, it's the same for everyone. I'd just rather it were RIGHT for everyone Wink.

I hope they don't bill you for resurfacing the floor!

MarkClegg said:One more thing thats just popped into my overactive brain is why on earth the Italian Stalion didn`t wear a Deadlift suit ??? and only dispensed one rep ?

Alex can Deadlift apx 330kg same as JackMac BUT he nailed 8 reps ?

I've actually improved my DL but that wasn't the problem. I went balls out on the medley which it was fcking heavy (the way I like it) and right after that i could barely rest and went to the log, got six reps and I was dead, not only out of air but I felt like my blood sugar was really low, tried to carb up before the deadlift but then again i didn't have enough time for the carbs to kick in and I was still out of breath. I was dizzy walking up to the DL, pulled the one rep, tried to get a second one and my head started to spin so I left it, plus risking to pass out over 2 or 3 more reps wasn't worth it, at the end I’d still be in 2nd place overall, I didn't wear my suit cause it was too tight, I bought it when I was 21stone and now I'm a bit over 23 (fat ass), During the 30 min break I got some food and rest and came back a new man. I admit my fitness wasn't great and I came in too heavy but what the hell, it's xmas time!! Ho Ho Ho!

By the way, my APT straps were fine and long enough but if the strengthshop wants to send me a better pair, please do.Happy

Boar - Sorry, but trained with Smallsy on the Saturday so he wins. Didn't really get the full boar experience, though you did look pretty cool on the balcony, like you were controlling the whole operation Happy

Alex - you going to ask if I take cheques again? Grin I'll send you a set if you like, just pm me your address.
