left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | f**king hell, i bet it will take a few days for alex to sink in what happened! Mixing with the beasts, and THEN placing so high! I vote: get his ass to WSM representing Italy - first time ever? (thats a question for wayne, the walking databank of WSM trivia) His medley was one of the highlights and then the mad stone sprint! Well done to young jack too, cant wait to see the final scores and details to count the amount of scalps you nailed during the day this comp was a glimpse to the future boys - a first of hopefully many to come. Time has passed for the backyard of a pub in a rain style comps (actually no, they will still have their place). Bigger crowds, better venues, tightly run comp, great organising teams. Thats how its done! After praises, two criticisms/suggestions for improvement: 1. quality of the audio, and following that, interviews of athletes and stuff like that to fill in the space. 2. scores on a computer via projector to the wall

I thought Joplin choked on a sandwich? Member 616, 8404 posts SQ 180, BP 130, DL 220530.0 kgs @ 78.8kgs UnEq | Just got back to Edinburgh. Cheeky 8 hour round trip. Good day as have been said. 1st 3 events by far the best. Rattled through ne'er gave the crowd time to settle as there was something else to cheer on. Not as slick in second half unfortunatly My points good 1. having never seen a comp in England before I'd never seen some of these boys in person. Bugger me hollands and westerby are beasts. 2. The easiest thing of the day was the way westerby clean the log. Maybe been a farmer is the key to success. Closly followed by felix and loz's tire flips 3. Jack impressed on the deadlif. And as he was first caused me to doubt it's weight untill the next few men only got a rep or 2 4. Some mosters even in crowd 5. As mentioned some really ballsy efforts from the likes of alex 6. Marku seems like a lovely cheeky chap bad 7. Terry seemed to get injured and fustrated 8. As mentioned mic was crap 9. Hurcules hold was a bit silly. Links in a chain could of beenmesured whilst warming up at the beggining so all the faff could be avoided allowing jack to get a better time and keeping crowd interested people who fustrated me guy who took farmers back on little crate carrier thing and put them down at 90' to where they should of been so poor spotter had to carry em when it would of been so easy to put down right guy who measured the farmers and insisted on doing it from same end. But if the course was measured out before (as it was) it would be simple maths to figure out guy who raised keg on crowds left with crate thing and for 1st few people had it further out from frame so it would swing and it was so obvious this would happen

He had a camera at one point What happened to cause delay inbetween hold and stones. The stones were great by the way

Not in Loz's top 10 uk strongmen Member 144, 4421 posts SQ 320, BP 165, DL 350835.0 kgs @ 123kgs Eq | Was a great day, nice to catch up with a few guys I've not seen in a while, Jimmy, Spencer, Rob and also great to meet a few guys who I've been speaking to for a while, the likes of Loz and Terry. Comp ran pretty smoothly, aye a few wee hick ups, but nothing major and what comp doesn't have a few minor problems?! Most impressive thing of the day for me was Loz and Alex's stone run; 5stone run ending in 180kg for Loz in 15seconds?!
