You jammy git Jabba, but you're a top bloke so I don't mind too much!

From where I was sat the problem for Mark appeared to be trying to go over/under rather than double over with his grip?

i can shed light on this, at breakfast he was saying he had put on some weight, tried his deadlift suit, and it was great for 1 rep, but when he went for a 2nd he just couldnt as the suit was too tight

I have already shed some light on this! Wink

Mate, you have no idea how much s**t Andy and the rest of the c**ts in the car gave me on the way home. Consider yourself lucky it was just Rob you were with, plus doubt he has been winding you up anyway! Grin

working on constructive criticism:
Score/projector screen board on some sorts agreed, it was on my list but budget wouldnt stretch... will do next time though.
Hercules: even in WSM there is adjustments and crit with this event, in theory most guys dont get to 30 secs, (i thought speedy event) i underestimated them...
referee: there will always be someone not happy with the referee but all athletes agree ref's decision is final, all athletes dont start till they have given the ok.
Music - we didnt have music as it was being filmed for dvd, and wanted to limit the editing.
As for the Microphone: the mic was tested the day before, ( and it was crystal clear) if we had the problem it would of been sorted then, i.e speakers amp etc brought in... no - one was able to figure out what/where the problem was, ... If the mic was working we would of had the crowd warmed up, we would of been able to understand the running order and would of known the points... I apologise, ..hope this doesnt come across as defensive, im appreciating the input... especially seeing as we are discussing deadlifting suits again.

I think I can safely say everyone was impressed by the show; there are always hiccups, no matter how well planned it is. Really well done Denny and Team, and I am looking forward to next year already!

The sarnie stall idea was only because I am a chubbster!

one more good thing about the comp, and worth mulling over since it was an invitational:

Good selection of athletes!

Household names + new kids on the block chasing them and challenging them. I think that made it more interesting.

Bummer about Andy not being able to do it due to his injury, would have been good to have a scottish guy there, especially since so many scotts braved the trip across the border to watch!

Don't take anything as negative as such, it was a great show overall and an excellent first of its kind event.

Everyone I have spoken to enjoyed it and I enjoyed it (and thats saying something Wink ) So you should if anything give yourself a pat on the back.

I suppose its always the same with this, everyone will never be pleased with everything but overall it was an awesome show so thanks for putting it on!

Sounds like you've got it in hand then, and doesn't sound defensive. It's great that you encourage all this feedback. Excellent. Can't wait till the next one now. Excuse my ignorance, but were you the woman with the backless top running around the place? Happy

its official !! buzz must hate me (like tom does) i spent a kings ransome at that stall AND overheard atleast 14 people say that the advert in the programme tempted them over to spend ...and he picks smallsy as his hero , i hope you spent loads of money charis !

i had to carry pagan as he was too timid to approach members of the public but really enjoyed 'working the balcony'

the production company that shot the vid could do with paying for a banner on here ...the DVD's will fly !!
