Wanna thank rob and his team for a great comp. Very disappointed with my performance but the standard was high and i was beaten by better men.

where did you finish in the end Matt?

Ended up 6th mate was running 4th till half way though then the guys behind went up a gear and i went into neutral:-)

does'nt sound like a terrible performance mate. I suspect the standard has gone up again this year.

Everyone did a top job !!

Was a really good day for all the boys given it their all a big well done to the captain who was very considerate when lowering the log onto himself instead of breaking it lol that didnt last long tho when the last lift on the log was dropped and broke both 2 inch bars from both ends im sure Carl had flash backs.

some stuff on here has cracked me up. i had an awesome day, and want to say thanks to rob, carl, ash, and the other helpers and well done to everyone else that competed and made it such a close finish.

cant wait to see the video of the log. but its left me with a useless leg and a nice new set of crutches to remind me until its on facebook

Hi guys. Big thanks to Rob and the Strength-tec crew, they all did a sterling job of making this a great comp, spotters, scorers, loaders...cheers . Really good set of events and we even had some amazing weather.
Well done to Chris, you done a great job to win mate especially after your log mis-hap.
The comp went all the way to the wire, with lots of new faces, strong guys and couldnt have been any closer at the end.

Next stop....ESM u90kg final !! cant wait.

Any questions about the final at all just ask, I pride myself on trying to make things as fair as possible and will reel off some videos of the final events like I did last year .

If anyone wants a session up at my gym to test the equipment they are more than welcome no fee but obviously travel is expensive . If someone gets a train up here I'll arrange one of the OSG faithful to pick you up from the station ..

It will be a good final at Lancaster lads, you'll like it .. Nice venue, great scoreboard from Sanderson and great MC ..

Cheers to Rob and everyone else who helped make it a great day. I really enjoyed my first strongman comp and will definitely be back next year and maybe even push for a qualifying spot. Well done to all the other competitors, there were some awesome performances.
