Really great effort massive congratulations, all your training pointed to that kind of time but believing it and having the balls to go for it take some effort.

I think JLL is next up with his 2k will give him something to think about.

Breathing and swimming, yeah thats why I am a s**t swimmer!

Cheers jt, it's great having you and Boar (and Sparrow!) with a bit of experience, don't think I would have aimed as fast without the comments on here.

What an excellent 2k row!

You made it look rather easy. 6:30 will be no problem for you.

Going on holiday tonight / very early tomorrow morning down to Devon for a couple of weeks. I don't plan to train, although we usually have pretty active holidays, so time to snatch one last pb.

Row - 1k warm up, 1k flat out pb - 3:07.2, 1k cool down

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR
4:01.9 1,019m 1:58.6 209 1020 28 131

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR
3:07.2 1,000m 1:33.6 427 1768 33 150
0:37.1 200m 1:32.7 439 1809 34 142
0:37.5 400m 1:33.7 425 1761 30 149
0:37.7 600m 1:34.2 418 1738 32 153
0:37.6 800m 1:34.0 421 1750 34 154
0:37.3 1,000m 1:33.2 432 1785 34 155

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR
4:17.6 1,017m 2:06.6 172 892 25 134

HR didn't even have time to get over 155! The last 200/300 took a lot of digging in, felt well paced.

Run this evening 30 minutes UT2/UT1

Plan when I get back a big block of hard graft up to xmas when I shall be attempting 2k sub 6:30 and 5k sub 17:30 Grin Oh I can't wait.

Filmed on the new GoPro Boar Grin

Who was that dickhead calling your training Haphazard?

Well it seems to working mighty fine.

Wonderful 1k I will use it to spur me on

I am jealous, and also delighted for you.

No doubt you will get the 6.30 and sub7/5.

Have a super break

Was the book any good? I've played about with the GoPro loads on holiday and am getting pretty used to using it now. Sorry about the 1&2k's Grin macroth seems so far ahead, 1:33 pace for 2k I think? Crazy

Just got back from a fantastic just over two weeks in Devon. No training as such, but plenty of physical activity, think I should be back to pre holiday fitness with a week or so of hard training.

Got back late so a quick 2k tonight just to blow the cobwebs away - 1:50 pace felt easy enough.
