Bench is rolling along steady nothing special but enough,not perfection but improvement. Bench comp is only 4 weeks away and im quite looking forward to it,always good to get back on the platform!!

I'm unsure at the minute Peter,going to see what I feel like nearer the time.
I plan to get all 3 lifts and enjoy the day so I might open on a lighter weight and not lift to my max....but while talk is cheap I might feel like a hero on the day and go for a pb we will have to see my large ball bagged friend!!

The paused squats are a whole new ball game for me,ive never attempted them before and their not particularly hard at the lower weights but i suspect there might be some milege in them so hey ho.
If anything they made me sweat a little more than usual but when your a heifer like me thats no bad thing

I think that is the best plan. If is after all been a while since you lifted in anger.

Physio tonight...Thrown me left right and centre feeling much better in an abused way.
In your younger years you wouldnt even flinch over these niggles,but now you lap this s**t up and get every bit of help you can!!

Its funny tho Nick I'm moaning about getting over niggles but I find as ive got older ive found im better at training through pain where in my twenties I might of missed training.
Maybe its listening to your body a bit more that gives you some breathing space.

Close Grip Bench...with slingshot

Planned a little more tricep work today but had a little accident at work where my foot slipped off a new ceiling joist and my left side dropped through the ceiling below(good job im a plasterer hey).
No one hurt apart from me and my pride ,but after close grip the left thigh was throbbing so called it,but on a brighter note enjoyed the bench again and the 160s all feel confident
