Date: October 15th 2011 Venue: Crossways Christian Centre Ramsey Road St Ives Cambs PE27 3TB Events: Axle Clean and Press for reps - 120kg/105kg - athletes choose which weight. 1 rep on the heavy beats any number on the light. 60 second time limit. Ascending Weight Silver Dollar Deadlift - 6 lifts, increasing weight on each lift from 240k-340kg, timed, 2" axle bar. WSM style. Frame Hold - 280kg Loading Race - kegs and sandbags Inch Dumbell Clean and Press for MAX - 50kg, 56kg, 63kg, 69kg, 78kg, 105kg im looking for 12 athletes and, as previously, the top 3 finishers of last year will be invited. so 9 spots after that. the application forms will be available in the near future and names will NOT be taken until the form is recieved along with the entry fee. please note the entry fee is non refundable. I think the other event should be a squat! yes there will. the events will be designed to try and make it possible for a wide range of abilities to compete as in previous years. squat is a possibility! I have had an idea of powerstairs but not sure if that is doable yet. depending on what I can sort out it could be 6 events instead of 5 also. | ||

IF powerstairs could be sorted it might be part of the loading or on its own. loading might not just be sandbags and will probably be onto a platform as opposed to over a yoke. im hoping to get the frame involved too somehow. and if the new venue is possible there might be room for some moving events. will stay true to the st.ives policy of short distance and heavy weight though! | ||
