Where exactly did I say anything about making it heavier. All I said was that in reality if you're aiming for Arnold's this comp is quite light. It's good to get guys in and hopefully the introduction of this comp will raise the standard of guys competing in Scotland. | ||

I was only making the observation that it is quite heavy compared to a lot of other comps in Scotland. | ||

I think all of those have been pitched at a good level for the guys we have in order to improve the standard which had stagnated for a while. Sure it is a fair bit heavier than some of the for fun comps that are not qualifiers or for national titles, but that is bang on. We have novice, and we have the comps like you guys are doing in Aberdeen which are an awesome day out and a great stepping stone, which is the other thing I think we need more of. All in all, I think this year is proving much better than usual for choice of bothe moderate and heavier comps in Scotland. Things going in the right direction imo | ||

I also don't think Ken was meaning any offense in his statement just pointing out that the qualifier has to be relevant to the show your qualifying for. I hope there is a good turnout of athletes. I think it's great right now that the open guys got so many exciting comps in Scotland, with this, the scottish, uk's, euros and Brits, so many chances to go forward in strongman | ||
