Dave85
Got an amazing nights sleep, had a good day at work and felt good in the gym too. Normally my Tuesday session is poor after running but today went really well, all done in an hour.

Squats up to 125kg x 4 x 6
DB Bench 36kg / Pendlay rows 80kg x 5 x 10
Knee rehab and 10 mins on the cross trainer

Nothing much just a bit of volume.
MrSmall
whats wrong with your hip/glute, chubbster?
Dave85
I tweaked something in my right glute. Its my fault. I've been foam rolling and stretching to try and sort out my lack of flexibility but was lazy for a couple of days, didn't stretch, didn't warm up to deadlift and felt something go. I'm ok to squat tenderly, can run with ibuprofen and ice after so its not bad, just avoidable.

The more I do on my IT band the better it feels oddly!

When you back?
Dave85
Wed - 4 mile run

Thu -

Push press
40kg x 5
50kg x 5
60kg x 5
70kg x 5
80kg x 5 - rep pb (80 was my best single)

Squats up to 140kg x 3 x 3

Strict press up to 65kg x 5,4,5,5,4

Med grip pullups x 5 x 8

Db curls, tri extensions, knee rehab

This morning - 1 hr walk

Cheers mate, fairly new to it so hoping for some good progress. Had 4 dash off the gym on holiday but took my running trainers.

Sat: ran up a bit of a mountain, was nearly sick, ran down a mountain and back up again - 40mins.

Sun: ran up a bit, down a bit and repeated for 55mins, covered a lot more distance across a bit of flat land too.

Mon: up at 6am, necked some coffee and got out for some hill sprints before my flight. Watching the sun come up was pretty special.

I cannot wait to get in the gym tomorrow.
MrSmall
what time are you training tomorrow mate? I'm in the POWER ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!! at 2pm, got a bit to do as I'm competing on Saturday, but I can hang around until 4ish if you will be in, spot you on your 100kg squats?
Dave85
Might be lucky to squat at all with the way my calves feel.

I can't guarantee when I can get there but the earliest will be 4.45pm. Work is going to be s**t this week too so it could be a lot later.

I'll be in every evening and Sunday morning this week though.
MrSmall
we'll sort something then mate!

Definitely. I want to get this run out of the way then train some events asap.

Today.

I left the squatting, the hills really took it out of me.

Strict press up to 77.5kg x 1 - pb. Still s**t but going up. I want 100+ strict and/or push press this year.

Pendlay rows 85kg x 5 x 10

Db bench 38kg x 10, 10, 10, 6

Going to get some reps in squatting tomorrow.

It was but I had to pull out because I had committed to a charity event and couldn't train for both. I was literally struggling to squat 100kg and pull 200kg.

Dragons is my aim this year after this and hopefully the Manchester 10k.

The build up starts from May 21st!

You both doing it?

Hopefully see you there. Today was a case of me vs man flu.

Squats v man flu - man flu beat me, 130kg x 3 x 3.

Run v man flu - again I lost, 2.5km in 10 mins, couldn't breathe.

Called it a day. Going to rest, walk or cycle tomorrow
