Pleased Novikov won, he’s a great guy.

He’s already in the category where you can throw any events at him and he’ll do pretty well

WUS gave Novi a REALLY soft lockout on log. He did get a down signal, so no reflection on Novi, but it's cost Mateusz the comeback of 2021. 180kg was a bit too heavy a log for reps imho. I'd rather see consistent 140-160. Particularly with the pace the show was moving and guys fainting and having muscle spasms all over the stage, Janashia, Bobby, the older Iranian etc. It's a bit screwy points wise that Matty can win 3 of 5 events and come top 5 in everything and still loose overall. Novi is so consistent.

Much like the Arnold classic 2020.

Correction: he won 4/6 but he finished 3rd and 8th in the other two events.

Finished all the WUS livestream. Top notch.

Just 1 thing I personally think they need to cut out is this interference from the competitors helpers, I don't agree with giving athletes extra chalk or extra tacky mid way through an event. Once you are on the floor that's it, your on your own imo

What did you think of the runaway stone assistance? Evans helper was much slower than Toms.
I was surprised they let one of the managers/trainers put tacky on the stones in WUS. I guess everyone benefitted, but not something you see often.
What did you make of the lockout judging?

I think they should of just let them roll off into the abyss, end of the day it was the competitors that managed to cause the miss hap, it wasn't equipment failure or something

In regards to WUS, I couldn't believe it when toot's helper was cheeky enough to pre tacky up the 10th stone. When he failed the 9th I took it as humble pie.

Nova's helper shouldn't of been allowed to retacky nova for the last stones either or peacocks boyf helping Caron with chalk midway through the farmers

I thought the shows were great, womens and mens, good from a fans perspective to get through it so fast but I bet the guys were struggling a bit with the pace!

It'd be easy to alternate women's and men's events to give more rest time between events.
