Could be a very tight top 10 IMO with the like of Misha, Poundcake, Stefan Solvi, Thor, Ortmayer, Lalas, Katona etc all snapping at the heels of the top boys. Misha especially.

This is ridiculous!!!

Z
Shaw
Jenkins
Terry
Loz
Poundstone
Lalas
Stefan solvi
Misha
Katona
Ortmayer
Radzikowski
Thor

More top guys than places allow! Each of these guys placed in different eras could be champions in their own right!

It's mad, most of those mentioned could be aiming for the podium! Crazy!

Really?! While all those you've listed are incredible strongmen in their own right, only the first 5 on there have a chance of the title, they're the only ones approaching a complete package. All the others seem to have fairly big holes in their games.

yeah, none of those other guys are consistently good enough across the board, only the top 5 won't have a single bad event, or on their bad event, will get top 5

the general quality has gone through the roof, but IMO there are still only 3 or 4 that can actually win it

I didn't mean they were all challengers! But all could expect to be in the final and after that top 5, could all think they're capable of 6th place.... But there's 13 there

Either way the depth is insane

I'd say Misha and Poundstone could have a chance (both have come very close in the past, Pund has podium'd and Misha- 4th place at first attempt)

IMO overall Misha is the strongest man in the world, but he is not a strongman, he is a weightlifter who does strongman, and at the top level he will drop too many points by not being 100% proficient on all the events

I think unless Misha has significantly improved his moving events and fitness he stands little chance of winning. Look at him passing out with the Africa stone, conans, halfway on the whiskey barrel carry in 2010 etc

I dont think he'll win, nor Poundstone, but I think they can (rightly) aim for top 5, maybe podium.

I already said tho that my top 5 will be Z, Shaw, Jenkins, Terry and Loz.

When you look at the list like that, it can only make you smile! What a finals that will make, though you have to expect to lose some of them through the qualifiers.

Agreed.

As Vaniall states, he has improved massively, but if there was a carry for instance, in the final, I'd still expect him to be down the bottom

unless ive read your post wrongly mate i am very surprised !!!! Savickas has squatted 425, Misha 365, Z benched 285, Misha 240,theres 30kg in the deadlift too !! Z even out strict presses Mishas log and axle/dumbell jerks !!!Stones, yoke, farmers, and any weight carry is Zs . How can you consider Misha the "strongest man in the world" when hes not even close .

As much as I love Misha I have to agree. He's not even all that close to the best snatch/ c&j in the world either
