It was a nice change from the usual starthclyde uni gym. My lifts today were:Deadlift Bar x loads 70kg x 5 100kg x 5 145kg x 3 165kg x 1 - PB (+5kg) 175kg x 1 - PB (+15kg total) Block Deadlift - raised 4 or 5 inches 170kg - Couldn't lift it 120kg x 5 120kg x 5 Squats Bar x a few - front squat 60kg x 5 - front squat 80kg x 5 - regular 80kg x 5 - regular 80kg x 5 - regular Overall it was a great session. I'm very happy about getting a new 1RM and I think 145kg is a new 3RM. | ||

After you giving me those figures Wiegie I want to get a 3x bodyweight lift now, which would be 200kg if I stayed at about the same weight.I went in to DG One today, a coucil gym with very limited free weights. Bench - On a smith machine Bar (9kg) x Loads 39kg x 5 69kg x 5 69kg x 5 69kg x 5 74kg x 3 74kg x 3 69kg x 5 59kg x 10 Strict Press Bar (Regular 20kg) x Loads 40kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 5 Rolling Dumbbell Tricep Extension 12kg x 5 12kg x 5 16kg x 5 16kg x 5 16kg x 5 HIIT - Row Only did 5 minutes at level 5 as I'm pretty unfit at the moment. Hopefully going to start doing more of this as it is quite fun yet brutal at the same time. The time broke down as follows: 1 minute regular row 30 seconds 100% power and speed Repeated 3 times (4.5 minutes) then finished with a 30second regular row. I used to do 7 minutes at level 10 (4 rounds with a 1 minute regular row to finish) but I'm going to have to build back up to that. | ||

There isn't a lot of room in there and there are no safety bars for if I failed a lift so I stuck to 100kg. It felt quite easy and I probably could of done some more weight but because of the lack of supports, (or spotters) I didn't want to risk it. Overall though it was a good maintenance session. Next week I should be back in the Strathclyde gym and might look at going for a new 1RM. | ||

Strict Press Bar x Loads 40kg x 5 50kg x 4 50kg x 5 50kg x 3 40kg x 8 I couldn't be arsed today and kept the session relatively quick. I find I have no energy after working. I'm going to give tomorrow a miss and deadlift on Wednesday instead when I'm not working. Hopefully I'll have more energy then and get some good results. | ||

My session today felt really good and overall I felt like I lifted well. My form was good and I was lifting pretty fast. I did some double-overhand shrugs after deadlifts. The 90kg weight was pretty easy to shrug, the problem was with my grip which I need to strengthen as I was struggling to hold the weight after 5 or so reps. I finished off with 10 pull-ups, before running out of time. | ||

I know I will get the triple at 85kg soon, I just need to work on my line as it has been a little off recently. In tomorrow for some squats, hopefully I'll get a PB! | ||

Squat Bar x Loads 60kg x 5 80kg x 5 100kg x 3 110kg x 1 125kg x 1 - PB 110kg x 3 80kg x 5 - ATG Decline Sit-ups BW x 10 +5kg x 10 +5kg x 10 Vertical Leg Raises 3 sets of 12 Overall it as a very good session and I'm happy that I got the PB. I felt a little tired going into todays session and reckon I have more squat in me. I should get another PB quite soon. | ||

Bench Bar x 12 40kg x 6 60kg x 5 75kg x 5 75kg x 5 75kg x 5 75kg x 5 77.5kg x 4 65kg x 9.9 (I was a fraction off the lock-out) Strict Press Bar x Loads 40kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 5 45kg x 4 40kg x 7 I felt that today was a very good session and I'm very happy with my lifting. Looking forward to deadlifs tomorrow. | ||

I iniially felt tired but I soon got into it. I'm a little annoyed about not getting the 155kg triple because I was only a fraction from lock-out. I probably could of locked it out if I had jeopardised my form, but that would be going against my aim of keeping good technique. | ||
