I had quite a good day today. My deadlift form is a lot better than it was a month ago and as a result my lifts feel a lot better. I kept my form dead-on for the 140 triple so I'm happy about that.

Since the gym is closed tomorrow I did some squats today as well as my usual bench.

Squats

I only managed 4 pullups on the 3rd set.

Banded Push-downs

I had a great, fun session today and especially liked the slingshot. It was a little too big for me but still useful.

Went in today with my flatmate Alex for a nice little study break.

Dealift

The idea was to go for a triple at 145kg today but the first rep was quite slow off the ground so I felt I wouldn't get the three. The main thing for me was that I did it with excellent form, so I'm not too bothered about not getting the triple. Hopefully next time!

Shrugs

70kg x 10 - Held the final one in a 'shrugged' position for ~10 seconds

Overall I am very happy with todays workout despite not getting the 145kg triple. My form is looking good and my lockout is fast so it's only a matter of time.

your sessions are looking great with plenty of hard work in there.
I really like that you'll choose tight form over weight lifted. That's a respectable trait!

Cheers! After my exams are over I'll have a lot more free time so I'll hopefully put in some extra work.

Haha. My from used to be terrible but it is gradually getting a lot better. Hopefully I can keep it nice as I progress to heavier weights.

Finished my first round of exams so went to the gym to blow off some steam. I was absolutely shattered so wasn't expecting much but overall I am happy with today.

I was very happy with my squating today, and made sure to go especially deep so that next time I go for a PB I will be comfortable with my ROM. I did my last set 'ass to the grass' just to get a little extra 'burn'!

Finished the last of my finals now so decided to go the gym. I was absolutely shattered, having only slept for about 4 hours, but I still had a decent workout considering.

Overall I am pretty happy with today. I would of liked to have got a bigger increase in my bench byt a PB is still a PB and I was drained when I did it. I'm sure the 100 will come pretty soon. Fingers crossed...

LOVELY PB! You're well on the road to the 100kg bench man. I love checking your blog and seeing things such as "PB", "ass to grass" and "with excellent form". Your training is pimp! Hopefully I'll get a session with you chaps sometime in the near future Happy

Training tonight was great man well done on your PB, deffo with the powerbar and a stress free few days you will be on for a bigger bench. All round top quality strathy session. PBs galore. Also wedgie you should come in. Its a great atmosphere.

I know what you mean. I usually bench on Mondays and Thursdays which is enough time, but this week I did it Tuesday and Thursday so thats why I was suffering a little bit.

I'm very happy with my squats today. As usual I was trying to keep my depth and form good, which I did. I was initally going for a double at 110kg but they felt easy so went for a third and it was just as easy as the two previous reps.
