I'd be a bit happy with that mate. I've done a few 5.15 1k's, and even a few sub 5.30's in a session with a rest inbetween, but as soon as I get over 2k I slow down considerably. By 5k I'm looking at 6.30's. I'd like to get to a sub hour 10k, so 10 minute miles need to be common place. You are where I'd like to be. Good man.

Is the weight still dropping?

easily achievable goal that mate. weight is still coming off. wouldnt say flying just a of couple of kg a week at best but thats all I need. I was 142 a couple of days ago.

I want to be able to do 1.5 mile in sub 12 mins before I stop the dieting. then will keep the running in as best I can but with a weighted vest

I enjoy it no matter how good or crap I am. Thats most important, but being better would make it more interesting.

jogged 1.5 mile to a quiet trading estate

6 sprints of at least 50 meters walking back to start
7th sprint that I argeed in my head would be the last. MY hamstring goes twang my ankle hits the floor instead of foot and my right shoulder hits a curb.

1.5 mile agonising limp home

I disagree sprinting has f**ked me once before but running and jogging CAN be beneficial in my opinion for big guys obviously within reasonr
