I don't know enough about this diet to comment, but I do agree with the main point I took from your original posts, specifically that being able to stick to a diet is perhaps the most important aspect for any long term success.
I used a 16/8 fast protocol last year, without being too strict on anything macro focused and got some really good results - I think mostly because I was under maintenance cals more days than I wasn't. Most importantly I could stick to it.

Exactly.
There are loads of dieting protocols. Some more optimal than others.
The absolute best one though is the one you can stick to.

I've (hopefully) setup a group on MFP called 'Sugden Barbell-ers' might be an easy place to swap id's etc.

Going to increase my kcal to 2500 today. Rate of loss is too quick. Want to slow it to just 1lb per week.

Only been doing this for 10 days mate but I'm so far down 9lbs.
Cardio in that time has been 4 walks around the block (5km each). Plus two low volume sprint sessions. Lifting nearly every day.
I really only want a slow loss. I'm fairly lean as it is, in the grand scheme of things.

New macros come out as:
2496kcal
Protein - 222g
Carbs - 207g
Fat - 88g

36/33/31%

Chocolate at meal 2pm, 6pm and 9pm Grin

Defo agree with you on the cardio.
I'll restrict if from today. Can't sprint anyway because I'm injured so that's out. Can't walk either come to think of it.

roughly 3100, 230p/220c/130f

maintenance cos i dont want to get smaller but dont want to get fatter, 83kg

then i pretty much add or deduct 200-300 cals from mainly carbs for gain or loss.

I used to think that.. But it's not ideal if you've got a busy schedule. That's why I've split up my carbs and fats, so on the higher fat days that's when il have stuff like steak and creamy sauces etc. Then the lower fat high carb I can have tons of fruit etc.

And it's taken a long time of slowly increasing calories to her here!
