s**t session


Deadlift:
up to 167.5 x 5 (4 doh 1 mixed grip), with chalk)
and 190 x 3 supposed to be 5. Did another rep after 10 mins rest...

thats s**t, i did 195 x 4 not long ago. boo

Strict Press:
up to 70 x 3 supposed to be 5.

I have successfully missed all my rep targets on 5/3/1 this week. Not surprising as I was ill. Will redo and hopefully get the extra 2 reps I require on each thing

Tried 5/3/1 for bench again, 5's day.

Usual warmup + foam rolling

Bench Press:
up to 105 x 5 spotter assisted last rep so probably 4 reps is more accurate.

I then decided that as my knees are still hurting I would only do stuff that doesnt hurt my knees.

Sldl:
up to 140 x 3 failed 4th on ground.

Hypers:
3 x 10 @ bw light stuff to finish. Hamstrings feel very hurty now.

Usual stretches and stuff

I bought no.2 & no.3 as well, bit optimistic... I have no idea on technique (if there is one) for these

Squat
Knees felt alright when doing bodyweight squats in warmup.
Bar x 10 fine. Getting technique set
40 x 10 fine
40 x 10 fine
40 x 3 pain, stop.

I have a rehab plan

Incline Bench Press:
No idea why I did this. Something different I guess.
Paused on chest
bar x 10
40 x 10
60 x 3
60 x cant remember, around 8?
60 x 10

Leg Press
Focusing on glute activation
25kg x 10
45 x 5 x 3 sets

Pullups

+14kg assistance 5 x 3

My knee rehab plan is to not do squats or sumo deadlifts, ice knees, and come back in a month with fresh mobility and technique via strecthing and mobility every day and bodyweight or empty bar squats. I will start with bar for squats and add 5kg per week, doing 3 x 10 until 120. Then I will add 2.5kg and go from there, hopefully with nice technique and no pain.

This should take me to august, where I can look ahead to the gbpf london divisional in November.

Bench as usual.
Deadlift, no idea. Probably the same, but with 70 to 170?

Curiously, I can get my hamstrings to my achilles tendon in squats so its probably not mobility that is the issue, more technique

I also want to beat the U23 unequipped deadlift of 230kg for the london division

edit: the bench of 132.5 looks alright too in a few years
