Push presses felt extremely odd, need to get the leg drive firing again.

The biggest challenge I'm facing, training wise, at the moment is getting the right mindset, getting fired up for lifts.

Even bloody 60kg feels heavy for me at the moment.

Still, I'm going to stick with it and see where I am in a month or two..

Great millestone a 100k pp is to aim at, will follow your progress from now on.
You're looking at a 80% split/pw jerk for a 1rm pp there, have you tried them ever, might be worth a bash?!

I feel so bloody impatient and aggressive atm, can't wait to tear up a 500lb+ deadlift and get back to squatting 450lbs.

I underachieved at playing rugby when I was at school, I could've been a regional player.. but never pushed or applied myself. I'm not going to let the same thing happen with my training.

Bring it!

I want to get back training with some powerlifters soon. I think working on my own for the next 2-3 months is the best bet for the immediate future- I don't deserve to train with any goof lifters atm.

Legs are shamefully skinny atm.. Going to up the ante on squats next week with some nice old fashioned 5x5 (all weights the same). Going to start light, maybe 120kg's, focusing on form and speed. I'll probably do these Tuesday morning, with some upper body work on Weds, some more squats and deads off blocks on Thursday ... May try some BW stuff at some point to.

Deadlifts I'm going to keep it nice and basic, at this stage technique is the number 1 consideration...Probs go 60 2x5, 80x3,100x3,120x3,140x1,160x1,175x2,175x2,140x3,120x3, then some Deads off plates 3x5.

Id just keep it simple BB for the time being. Something simple, adding on weight to the bar where and when you can but keeping everything nice and solid form wise.

5x5 = simple. Nail something like that until Christmas and you wont go far wrong. Plus as long as you keep the cals nice and high you'll pile on the lbs.

I have decided to total 600kgs or more unequipped at a comp next year in BWLA (super clean BWLA boy!!).

SM is part of the package somewhere, but I need to prove to myself I can still do powerlifting.. (Gunna train my bench a bit harder this time).

I will not limit myself to the 90kg mark, wanna creep up to 92/93kg's.

I'm fairly sure having a definite, objective and numerical goal is gunna be pretty central to my happiness over the next year.

Enough f**king talking in this journal, I'm using it as a sounding board more than anything.

If I don't make my goals known, I won't have the same humiliation if I don't get them. One thing is for sure, I'm throwing everything I have behind this to prove to myself that I can acheive something.

Going to cut the bulls**t crap down in this journal now, I'm sure it's not super-interesting anyway.

Nothing wrong with that; journals as sounding boards can help a lot.

Good luck with the 600kg target. I don't think you'll have any problem reaching it, judging by your previous bests and training knowledge.

I suspect it will have to be 220/130/250.

I think it will take me 2/3 comps to get there.

Going to use properly designed 6 week peaking routines this time.
