That will be incredible for certain applications, just can't use it in built up areas.

Id say its a great way to waste $499. It can't fly and doesnt avoid any objects. Will get broke pretty quickly and could even cause you a lawsuit when it flys into somebodys baby or goes through a front window.

Because naturally, snowboarding or skiing down the side of a mountain there are many obstacles to consider such as hover-babies and floating houses.

What do you mean it can't fly? Do you mean you can't control it like a normal drone?

I think for certain applications this thing is genius, particularly in vast open spaces you can get epic helicopter style footage for peanuts in comparison. Whilst suitable locations will be limited by the lack of object avoidance it will add a new dimension for a lot of budget filmmakers.

It says it can't fly it will just come down slowly after you throw it in the air. Obviously i wasnt meaning snowboarding or skiing but that could be even worse, you could kill someone. You would have to make sure nobody else was on the mountain but you. If they made the extra effort to make it actually fly, and have object avoidence it would be massively better.

it's obviously a work in progress, but in a year or so, it should be able to do everything (avoid objects, fly properly,...)
and it will probably cost a lot less once it's mass produced

so yeah, I'd love to use it eventually
