Pullum's service is tip top, provided they have the thing in stock, if not and it has to be specially ordered you may be in for a wait. Be sure and ask when ordering. I they have it, you'll have it in a couple of days max.

if he got to look like that by taking that stuff, I'll give it a miss. Is there a chip shop nearby, preferably an award winning one with tight shirted waitresses ?

Thanks to everyone who turned up. either to lift or support.

And a huge thank you to all officials, spotters, loaders, scorers, referees, MC. Who were not only extremely efficient but very friendly and approachable.

Not forgeting the people who moved all the equipment to create the space we needed and then had to put it back again. Rather them than me.

If you have passengers in the back, don't forget to adjust your tyre pressures in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations. Drive safely now.

20 rep squats, are you insane, if you can squat 20 times you should be thrown out of the gym, attached to the back of the nearest car and dragged round the streets at or just below the legal speed limit. Why, why, why, why , why would you want to do such a thing ? If you don't like squatting just don't do them, but if you truly love them you will do singles, but to sully their good name and reduce it to some form of child's circus act, you must really hate them with a passion.

Let me know how you get on.

LittleA's "lemon freshness" went out of the window on that glorious day when he first wrapped his knees. Admitedly he does the odd, rare, ass to grass raw lift - but only with weights that can correctly be addressed by girl's names. When the pressure is on - he reaches for the equipment, just like the rest of us.

Remotely playing the "raw" card however is exactly the knid of neferious activity he revels in

Any idea how many are in it yet ?

Joe Bullock's 300 x 2 is the next target, and to put the current 272.5 x 5 a little further out of LittleA's reach

By the time I've gracked those I'll need to drop back on serious back sqts to reclaim my (soon to be taken) place above BOAR on the Adders sqt tree. Also, getting my 5 rep PB back above Fat Petes. Very nice to see you again Joni. Now you know where we are, feel free to pop back anytime. The dark side isn't so bad, all of a sudden you can see the appeal, actually using the stuff really does cause the scales to fall from one's eyes. I speak from experience here.

Because an opportunity has presented itself, and it fits nicely in with the current training, the record is 320 so the squat will probably be 290/310/322.5. The jury is still out on bench and deadlift, but a bench around 190 and a dl of 280 ish should not be out of the question which would give a total in the high 700s which is significantly more than I have done previously (752.5 at the british being the best so far) And if it all goes belly up(not that it will) I can come back in December and try again. Plus I am short of contest experience.
