It looks like your training has changed a bit since I last followed your log Rick! I too have added speed bench recently, and I think its been helping my raw strength.

Jan 15/09 - DE Squat day with no squats?

Decided to let my back recoup and put in a light workout with bands instead of my ordinary workout. Hitting some band goodmornings, abductions, x-walks, and side bends/abs.

I hate not training heavy hahaha.

Cheers everyone Happy . Ill have to remember to convert to kilograms for all you Englishmen Tongue

Rob - Poutine is a heart-attack in a basket hahaha

Just_T - Remember that the 670 wasnt an IPF squat pal. It was done in a single ply squat suit, but would have almost for sure been turned down in IPF for depth. The fed I did it in (SSA) is not near as lenient on squat depth as most American feds, but somewhere between a WPO and IPF.

My best raw squat was 525 I think. Its been quite a while since Ive focused on raw work for any length of time tbh, but I doubt it would be any higher now

Well, the pestering of a few pain-in-the-ass Muscletalk members Wink has finally brought me over.

Right now Im training for an SSA powerlifting meet on Febuary 7th. My mid-back has been really killing me these past couple workouts, so hopefully itll be ok soon enough to get more training in before the meet.

A bit about me:
-19 years old
-been as heavy as 282lbs, currenty around 261, on my way to 242
-competed 6 times
-best meet numbers are 670/365/505, but these will hopefully be totally shattered next meet

I train with a Westside type split, simply because thats what most of the people I compete with train.

Alright, lets get to it shall we
