225x6
**another bench pr; 220x6 was a big pr a few weeks ago

Bench:
+Doubled Minis:
3x135x3
5x115x3

Floor Press:
45x8
135x5
185x5
195x5
205x5

Pulldown (v-handle):
150x5
200x5
3x220x5

Seated Cable Row (wide neutral grip handle):

Sumo Deadlift:
135x3
135x3
+Reverse Larges (looped around pin @ eye level; total deload just above knee):
185x3
225x3
275x3
315x1
365x1
405x1
455x1
495x1
535xmiss
535x1 **switched to conventional stance, and had to really grind this lol
**old pr was 565, but I think I must've choked the bands instead of looped them (adding a fair amount extra help), because I'm no weaker then I was when I hit the 565, and there was no way 535 was even going up sumo haha

SSB High Box Squat:
+Averages choked around 2 dumbells (sick tension):
45x3
95x3
135x3
185x2
225x1
5x245x1

Sumo Rack Pull (mid-knee, just below patella):
45x3
225x3
315x1
405x1
4x520x1
545x1

-sick amount of single lol
-I've noticed that when my squat shot up I was consistantly doing lots of box squats against bands, and a fair amount of ab work; both things I've neglected lately. I won't be doing any box squats to proper depth as I don't trust the aerobics platforms any more, but I'll do an occassional high box squat, and lots of stuff against bands again
-project for this spring once I get home will be to build a legit box that I can add layers to

315x1

boo hoo Wink Tongue
» Beer, Moose, and Poutine - A Canadian Strength Journey (Go to post)11-03-2009 @ 20:30
It's a thumbless grip when benching; completly rediculous as far as I'm concerned, but having my thumb wrapped today really hurt my wrist (strained it a few days ago) so I was forced to try it
» Beer, Moose, and Poutine - A Canadian Strength Journey (Go to post)11-03-2009 @ 20:14
March 11/09

Bench:
2x45x8

3x95x3
3x115x3

Floor Press:
135x8
3x155x8

Pulldown really light 3x15, superset w/ band rear delts

-took everything light cause wrist still kind of hurts
-nothing was tough, and it was all done with no rest
-had to use suicide grip with right hand; I would never bench like this normally! haha

Some good sessions there bro

Also, you should deffinatly start video taping parts of your sessions. That has probably helped me as much or more than any other 1 influence.. it's not just so you can analyze them, but so you can have more experienced lifters look at them

You're turning more Westside then me Tongue Grin

March 7/09 - Bruce's Place

Bench:
45x5
45x5
135x5
225x1
245x1
+Katana:
315x3
335x3
365x1
385xmiss
385xmiss
***Bruce and Tiger had me totally change my groove so it was tough. Last time I was down at Bruce's I missed 335 though, so this was ok hahaha

Shirt off

5 Board:
275x3
315x3

4 Board:
315x3

3 board:
315xmiss

Chain Suspended Lockouts (crazy high):
275x3
315x3
365x3
405x3

-need to focus on keeping elbows out for as long as possible in the shirt
-we decided to squat after benching instead of the next day so Dennis could head home... this worked out great 'cause I was planning on partying, so I wouldn't want to have to drag my ass out of bed to squat haha

Squat:
135x3
+ Ace Pro Briefs:
225x3
315x3
405x2
495x1
545x1

-Bruce just re-iterated what Rhodes and Bott have been telling me I need to work on; keeping elbows under the bar, sitting back harder, and staying more upright
-SSB work was recomended

Another interesting point; don't try and punch a friend in the arm as hard as you can when you're too drunk to stand up straight. f**ked up my wrist a bit Saturday night lol. I've had it wrapped consistantly, and have iced the s**t out of it. Also used a doubled mini-band as a sling lol (amazing the things Bruce can teach you Wink )
