good day today on wooden log with buzz worked up to 105 agen with a lot of reps on the way up was nice to take it easy cos ive got a throat bug then drop all the weight of and done a crazy 14 reps in about 20 seconds pushed myself very hard at this and then felt faint and sick

60x8

70x6

75x6

80x6

85x2

90x1

95x1

100x1

105 fail but with only a ball hair away i will get 110 next time

60x14 non stop very fast

done some farmers to finish dont know how far but i was sprinting with them done 5 sets easy

Embarassed

trained at unit 20 the day done some log upto 105 and then done farmers hold 150 each hand got about 12 seconds hard to tell cos i timed it myself but it felt like ages had to stop cos the hole in my hand from the texas bar had opened back up.
went on scales and it said 18st 1 done know how true this is cos ive not been on the any other scales for 2 or 3 weeks does anyone know if the ones at the unit are correct? if so what is 18st in kilo?

do as buzz says and show stuart the vid and then youll know where you stand? you dont want to muck up on the day a lot of points can be lost in this eventAngry

Why doesn't everyone else learn how to jerk then?
If/When they go to national/international events they are possibly losing points in one event which can effect their final position greatly.

i agree with that and i cant do jerk at all.one if the guys at the unit didnt have that good a press and on speeking with ken changed to jerk on log and seems to get on a lot better

Col_Austin said:What's the reason for not allowing a double dip then? Do the organizers feel that using olympic technique is somehow unfair? Sounds like a potential judging nightmare.

because no one can do it well up here apart from ken that i have seen anyway?and everyone will winge about it not being a press cos of the jerk?if it starts at the bottom and gets to its goal faif play.its a spectator sport and i for one want to see big weights

good work ken. its hard to say how heavy the guys will go at the uk's cos ive tryed this and my flexibility just wont let me i could not even get 100kilo
