I did mine at the beginning of November last year.my scan was booked for beginning of January .
When I got there, they told me it had been cancelled.got another appointment at the end of January.when I got to the hospital
The doc told me he was a foot and ankle specialist ! And had no idea why I had been referred to him.me neither .
Finally got an MRI at the beginning of march, and still waiting to see a consultant.and to top it all off, when I was immobile for the first month or so,ended up getting a blood clot "dvt". Had to inject myself twice a day with anti coagulant for two weeks, and now on warfrin.
Been in/off /in/off/in/off work and il probably be getting sacked, savings I had have almost run out.its been a nightmare.but at least it's sunny outside lol.

i'm 5 years in to my problems with my now glass back, which is just now getting stronger.

but i would definetly see a solicitor gary as if its a accident at work then you should of been signed off and gotten statutory sick pay.

i bet your work is hoping that you dont see a solicitor.

Ross at first they said I would be on warfrin for life because I had a clot years ago.
But at my last appointment at the clinic, the nurse said I have to see a specialist about
The possibility of taking me off it in the future.so not sure until then.

I've recently slipped a disc and have been having physio. I've basically been told to strengthen my core, more so all the small interconnecting muscles rather than the big outer muscles.

So need to strengthen the lower abs (i.e. pelvic floor muscles).

So she's got me doing lots of planks and plank variations, concentrating on tensing the lower abs about 50% of max (so as not to burn out too quickly).

Also got me doing some balancing exercise lying lengthways on a foam roller.

Stretching is also good (baby and cobra but also good to stretch hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, glutes).

Check out my journal for the core work I've been doing).

I'm going through something similar myself. It first went deadlifting about this time last year. Managed to get to an ok standard by the end of the year. It went again about 6/7 weeks ago and now I can't deadlift or squat or do anything except pressing out of a rack. I'm waiting to get a date for an MRI scan. The physio I have been seeing has told me he thinks its L5/s1, but then again the first physio told me it was SI joint
