Right, Didn't feel fantastic today mind not with me, possibly starting to get a cold. Went training with my old man he shows me how it's done on the bench.

Racks Pin Two:

( Mid Knee height) So a farly long pull.

1x5 on bar
1x5 on 70kg
1x5 on 100kg
1x5 on 130kg
1x4 on 160kg

1x3 on 185kg Fast not too bad atall.

1x2 on 200kg 441lbs, this was pretty good so decided to do another set.

1x3 on 200kg

Final set abit tougher, but not totally fresh yet, Be nice If I can peak to 240 off this low position before this comp but it prob won't happen I have doubled 225kg of it before off pin two. Next week I will try maybe going reps and sets on 210-220 of mid knee height. pin 2.

Bench:

1x5 barpaused
1x5 on 40kgpaused
1x4 on 50kgpaused
1x3 on 60kgpaused
1x3 on 70kgpaused

1x3 on 85kg Paused. Hoping to open on this on 25th of Oct. So it's looking possible. ALthough not entirely easy but I went fairly heavy Tuesday.

Incline:

1x8 on 35kg
1x8 on 35kg

Tricep Pulldowns:

2x10 on 22.5kg

Front Raises:

2x8 on 10 kg left arm
2x8 on 10kg on right arm.

Curls:
2x8 on 10kg left arm
2x8 on 10 kg right arm (Concentration Curls)

Standing OHP:

1x8 on 35kg
1x6 on 40kg

Not too bad a session, I don't know if it's good or not having a really small disparity off the floor and of pin 2 mid knee height. Really trying to build this up now though.Happy Happy Happy

Fronts:

2x5 on bar
1x5 on 60kg
1x3 on 80kg staid light today as I was showing a woking fella how to do them.

And went heavy on both of these only Tuesday.

1x10 on 60kg
1x10 on 60kg

Freezing my arse of made effort to go to gym, and was totally a waste of time, because just wasn't up to it at all could not be bothered in the slightest.

Deads:

2x5 on 60kg
1x3 on 90kg
1x3 on 110kg

2x2 on 135kg

1x2 on 150kg

WOrked up to 80%

1x1 on 170kg, Fairly easy but just didn't want to push it as still 20 days til comp. Not sure when I will try peak up not 100% on my opener wanted to open with 185kg but not sure it's going to happen, or possible open 180, Really wanted to just break 200kg on deadlift in this 3 lift, but not sure whether it's going to happen.

End of this week I will need to know where I stand though Think it will be a 180 opener and try double 190kg but it's not going to be easy by any means.

Bench:

2x5 on bar

2x5 on 60kg

2x3 on 70kg this for some reason didn't feel to amazing, my problem is if I am not up for it I seriously might aswell not bother. Come home couldn't even eat my lunch just not hungry which is not normal for me after.

SO basically it proves how s**te my session was today. If I do this comp I will be glad I can deload and slowly peak up for mid of next year.Happy Happy Happy

2x5 on bar

1x5 on 25kg
1x5 on 45kg
1x5 on 55kg
1x3 on 65kg

1x2 on 75kg paused fast.

1x3 on 85kg paused pb.

Incline Bench:

1x3 on 65kg
2x5 on 55kg

Skull Crushers:

2x10 on 20kg
2x10 on 20kg

Kick Backs:

Deads:

1x4 on 70kg
1x3 on 90kg
1x3 on 110kg

1x3 on 130kg
1x3 on 150kg

1x1 on 165kg

1x1 on 180kg This didn't feel as good as it should I just dont like having depressing sessions I will probably have a long break so. I need to stop over training aswell this plays a massive part of my slow deadlift gains.

is your comp THIS sunday ??

i wouldnt do any more , my advice would be to be brave with your choice of lifts ...i always got scared and went for a wanky second lift that left me with too much to do for a nice PB on the 3rd .... so nail a nice opener and just have a crack on lift 2 ...

some people run out of steam for the deads (kenders !!) but usually the days fun should give you a bit of oomph to nail that 200 for a splendid day out !

best of luck

Hello Boar,

Thanks buddy nah my competition is 25th of November, 3 lift divisional qualification for the British Next year.

Advice what to try do on deadlift, it's tough though must say because trying to hit pbs on deadlift in less than a month in competitions is not easy mate.

Thanks for popping around.

Here was my Bench session Two days ago on a narrow close bar and very narrow bench so it's harder I always do more at proper gym.

Only you will now how your feeling on the competition day, however my thoughts are

Squat. Open 140 Safe & Deep. Then 150. Then 155-160.

Bench. Open comfortable 80, listen to commands and dont move feet. Then 90. Then 95-100.

Deadlift. Open comfortable 175. Then 190. Then 200-205.

My guess is a 450-455 total.

Right, felt a runny nose today but it was great training and these are days I love to have wish I had them more often, less training is better for my progress, hence not overtraining.

Never get someone to video they always feck it up!

Squats:

2x5 on bar
1x5 on 60kg
1x5 on 80kg
1x3 on 100kg
1x3 on 110kg
1x2 on 120kg
1x2 on 130kg
1x1 on 140kg

Video below matey f**ked it and only got the one rep but this was pb 1x2 on 152.5kg he I said you recording then he said yeah am know before he pressed it and unforunately only got the 2nd rep which is below but wasn't to tough considering.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSkItqHEyaQ&feature=youtu.b...
Drop Set

1x1 on 140kg

Never get someone else to video I have learnt my lesson.

Then took out 170kg went down 4-5 inches which did feel f**king heavy lets say I wouldn't of fancied trying to squat it not yet anyhow.

Racks PIN ONE:

1x5 bar
1x4 on 70kg
1x3 on 100kg
1x3 on 120kg
fast

1x3 on 150kg
1x3 on 170kg

1x3 on 200kg Video below not too bad, Defo think I will do this in comp I am not much disparity so it's all good and I will do the bottom part and I can lock it out okay so all is good. Not fresh eiter prob do a 215-220kg on this on be as you see it's below my knee very long movement good for feeling the weight though.

1x3 on 200kg video below

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1B27zcU6AY&feature=youtu.b...

Still struggling abit but it's not a nice position for a tall person and I definitely find it eaier off floor. Sure I have a chance of this in this comp.

Did last time with reps off pin one.

Got your PM. I would say follow Finch's advice, though take into account how you feel on the day for the second lifts. If you are not feeling that great, maybe a few kilos less, if you are good then a bit more.

Thanks Bill Yeah alot is how you feel on the day mate, Alot of it is I get alot of anxiety pre comp that single lift I was terrified to be honest, but once got that first lift I was so buzzed up and ready that I pulled more than I ever had in training so, Hopefully get a nice 140 opener then go 150kg then go from there, I am 110% dedicated and I will put all my energy and life into this comp, I will qualify with a good improved total under 20's 93kg class, then will have months next year til British I can't wait.Happy Happy

Good luck on the day mate.

Put your opening squat at what you know you can get easy then take it from there, same with bench and deads. Listen to your body when you warm up, and dont do to many reps you only need to feel the weight, if tou think its going well you can up your opener. worst thing in the world is failing first lifts and getting fustrated with yourself.
Take your time so everything is right and listen to refs signals.

Your have a great day I realy hope you lift well Happy
