I was looking through your videos and came across your stiff leg deadlift training

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ6QwiYdILE

Can I ask why you perform each rep from a dead stop from the floor rather than lifting the bar out of the rack at lockout height, lowering the bar until the plates tap the floor and then bringing it back up again (as seems to be the norm with most peoples SLDL) Happy

Ha. Came for a look cos i thought they'd been a training update.

The above description is more like the procedure for a Romania deadlift. Sldl starts from the floor.

This sounds massively sub optimal to say the least. Hope it's nothing major and only short lived as I'm sure we all do.
If physio or anything can help get it done sooner rather than later.
Good luck with it mate.

Not necessarily. I do SLDLs top down. Besides, an RDL is a different movement to an SLDL.

Yes. But as far as i was aware rdl starts at the top. I did them rdls from the floor till Macca pointed out my mistakes
ke . But yes, i suppose the important difference is the movement not the start point.
