Decline bench 60x10 100x10 140x5 150x5 160x5 165x3 170x2 170x4 pb I've not done these for a while, I think everything over 150 was a pb, felt a lot better than on flat bench Bench 100x30 - pb I do this every so often, I think my pb was 23 SLDL DOH no belt 60x10 100x8 140x5 160x3 180x1 - wanted 3, grip failed Mixed Grip belt on 180x3 200x3 Felt hard, I need to up this next week, been on 200 for a while now. Front Squat 40x10 60x10 80x8 100x5 120x3 140x1 155x1 - pb Total grinder, my form went to s**t, but I hit depth and stood up with it Weird session tonight, I felt like f**king off home when I missed a double 190 on bench and then missing a treble on 180. Stuck with it though and did some pretty decent sets after. Back to work from tomorrow so I'll be back to my normal routine again. | ||

I've never really taken it easy on bench, just kept hammering it at 90 - 95% for 5's and 3's, it seems to have worked in the past. I have been doing some pretty brutal work on it recently though and I seem to be suffering now, a change / rest might be good. | ||

Log, one clean then push presses from the shoulders 35x10 35x10 55x10 70x8 80x5 90x3 100x1 All from the floor now 110x2 110x2 110x2 Tried for 3 on all these and only just missed it on all of them. 100x4 Farmers 15m turn and Yoke 15m 60 / 170 60 / 170 80 / 210 100 / 210 120 / 250 140x5m Legs started to go and I had to drop it Good session on this tonight, happy with the 140 farmers, need to aim for 15m now. Stones with tacky 80x5 - 48" 80x4 - 54" 80x2 - 60" 100x2 - 48" 100x2 - 54" 100x2 - 60" 110x2 - 48" 110x2 - 54" 110x1 - 60" 120x1 - 48" 120x1 - 54" 120xfx1 - 60" - pb glad I got this tonight. 120x1 - 60" Better on stones than last week, on to the 145 next week. I've got 14 3 the last three times I've done this now, 15th was a couple of inches from lockout but I just couldn't finish it off. A lot happier with benching tonight, back in a routine of better sleeping and eating seems to have made the difference. Strict Press out of rack Barx10 60x10 80x5 90x3 100x3 Felt easy so: 100x5 - pb 100x5 Six was close on both of these Push Press from rack 90x5 90x5 100x3 100x3 110x3 120x3 120x3 pb 120x4 - 5th was close Strict Press from rack 80x10 60x10 Really happy with all the overhead tonight. I know what you mean, I always feel pushed for time, you can add an extra bench set without it taking too long though. For example if you were just to add a few warm up sets then into 6 - 8 sets of 5 reps at 70 - 75% then you should be able to do it with only about a minute rest between each set. total time about 10 minutes and you've added a pretty solid bench set to your week. | ||
