What's for breakfast best before comp....
bertie
I read a thread a while back where a couple of good strongmen said they have porridge on the morning of a comp. So it's ready brek for me on Sunday morning.

Same thing I have for vreakfast every day. If it's good enough for working and training why change for a competition?

500ml chocolate milk
50gr whey
120gr oats
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp peanut butter
Banana

Blend and glug. Great for training, great for competing.

You shouldn't need to carb load unless you're cutting weight as you should be fully fuelled to train and recover day in day out anyway.

As an extra I always have a big chippy tea the night before a competition. Loads of starchy carbs, loads of protwin and plenty of fat to make you feel satiated and help you sleep.

This! The last thing you should do on the day of a competition is change what you eat and risk upsetting your stomach.
