09/05/2012 - week 2 (heavy session)

DOH Deadlift - 60x5, 100x3, 140x2, 180x1, 200x1 (straps on), 220x1 (belt on), 235x1, 250x1, 260x1 PB
Bench - 60x5, 100x2, 115x2, 125x2, 132.5x2, 140x1, 145x1 PB

Was supposed to be a light session but felt really good and decided to go with the flow. I seem to be making more gains with this type of training. Listening to my body is really helping.

Cheers bushy, yeah it's good to have a structured routine but I sometimes find it limits strength gains. I now feel I can train heavy quite regularly as long as I have a deload week now and then and listen to my body.

Had a few goals in mind today and set my sights on them. Changed my technique on squat (toes point out more) and bench (legs back more with slight arch) which both really helped. A really east session apart from squat and push press!

Have set an 8 week goal of a 225kg squat and 125kg push press.

Squat - 60x5, 100x3, 130x3, 160x3, 180x8 PB (belt and wraps)
Bench - 60x5, 80x5, 110x5, 110x5, 110x5, 110x5, 110x5 (all very easy)
Dbel Row - 33x8, 43x8, 43x8, 43x8
Push Press - 60x2, 80x2, 100x1, 110x1, 120x1 PB
Curl - 30x5, 52.5x5, 52.5x5, 52.5x5, 52.5x5, 52.5x5 (easing the weight up gently as to not aggravate my injury)

180kgx8

120kgx1
