Bench:

(Elbows tucked in style)

50 kg x 5
70 kg x 5
90 kg x 5
92.5 kg x 5

102.5 kg x 4 fail 5

Form went to s**t on the final set, completly forgot about digging into the bench with my lats and tucking my elbows etc. I need someone to cue me ideally

High bar squat:

40 kg x 5
70 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
120 kg x 5

130 kg x 5 good form
140 kg x 5 pretty good form
140 kg x 4 failed 5

Could have lifted the 5 th rep with my back, but didn't want to pull a muscle again so dumped it. On the plus side I don't have any back pain from Tuesday anymore!

Low bar:

70 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
110 kg x 5
120 kg x 5

Power Clean:

60 kg x 3
72.5 kg x 3

87.5 kg x 3 PB (also a new 1RM)
87.5 kg x 3
87.5 kg x 3

Last set was the easiest. However as I catch the bar, rather than dip slightly, I seem to put my right foot forwards and take a staggered stance to lower myself to drop down to catch the bar.

Deadlift:

Just wanted to check my back pain had actually gone, so did some light deadlifts

100 kg x 5
140 kg x 5

No pain at all unlike Thursday

Chin ups:

9 (sweaty hands)
10
8

Skull crushers:

Bar x 8
+20 x 10
+25 x 10
+27.5 x 10
+30 kg x 8
+30 kg x 7
+20 kg x 10

1 hour 55

OHP:

40 kg x 5
50 kg x 5
60 kg x 5

75 kg x 5 (paused reps)
75 kg x 4 (fail 5th) touch and go
75 kg x 5 T&G

Was working in with 3 guys, gym was pretty packed with testosterone, which is probably why my 1 st literally flew up. Didn't take enough rest before my 2nd set, rested longer for my 3rd and got the 5th. Will go 77.5 next time

Push Press:

60 kg x 3
80 kg x 3

95 kg x 2
100 kg x 1 fail 2 but close = PB
102.5 kg x 1 PB !

Low Bar squats:

60 kg x 5
80 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
120 kg x 5
130 kg x 5

Deadlifts:

70 kg x 5
120 kg x 5
160 kg x 3

200 kg x 6 (last one hitched, left a little in the tank)
210 kg x 2 PB (more there)

Planning on training farmers walk this Friday so didn't go overboard on deadlifts

Pull ups:

BW x 10

Facepulls:

3 sets of 12 on 100 lbs

Not a bad session Happy

140 kg x 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2lr4MCcFhw
140 kg x 5 Volume PB

150 kg x 1

Power Cleans:

70 kg x 3

37.5 kg x 8
37.5 kg x 8 (inc 2 cheated)

nice lifting mate, got a couple questions about madcow 5x5 since i saw you ran it for 6 months. how often did you miss squat reps? and did you find that repeating the weight you missed the next week was enough to carry on the progress?

Cheers mate

Squats were the lift I managed to get progressing without missing reps for the longest. When I started the programme I was working up to a top set of 115 kg x 5, and adding 2.5 kg each week. The first time I missed a rep was at 130 x 5 (actually got 130 x 3), I repeated 130 for 5. Then I kept progressing linearly until 150 kg x 5. I tried a couple of times for 152.5 x 5 but never got it. Then I switched to 5/3/1 for all my lifts squat inlcuded.

Im nailing the cleans aswell at the moment

How do you mean it was easier cleaning with the 15k plates? Because it was closer to the ground?

Good work anyway
