why are people being so negative about this, Matt is here trying to improve our sport give it structure and credibility he's not trying to make a quick buck or piss anyone off yet all he seems to get is negative comments about spelling grammer ect. Why not instead of critisising him offer to check over his proposals when he sends them to the top promotors to help make it look more proffesional at the end of the day its us guys thats gonna benefit from this

I dont fault the enthusiasm or intention. However, for me the whole idea of a novice federation is not one that can work, or one that the sport even needs at this point.

the biggest thing holding back the sport is the lack of organisation in the opens. and, for alot of reasons, theres not much that can be done about that at this point in time.

yes i agree with your first point novice fed is a no no its gotta be strongman as a whole. I think we should all be giving our opinions on what would be a good way to go, not slating him & telling him its not gonna work it will never work if were all negative about it. I want strongman to progress and be as big as it can be but at the momment british strongman is a mess its got no real progression routes no structure at all really which is no good and gives limited oportunities for up and coming strongmen. for example this year there was a british qualifier for wsm that was a last minute thing big ken as scotlands strongest man had to ask for an invite richard smith wales' strongest man didn't get an invite there and for the athletes who did get an invite was very little time for any of them to prepare.

Your best bet is to watch the forum like a hawk, comps fill up quickly...before even thinking about it, get signed up !

And avoid smalls.
