Gingy said:Hey Buzz,

I bought an olympic bar (http://www.strengthshop.co.uk/equipment-and-bars/bars/olympic-... from you a while back, maybe 2 months (tidy looking bit of kit I might add!), and have had some cracking sessions with it since.

Today I did some deads on it though, 215 for 4, and upon inspection after the set it's bent!

I'm not sure if I've exceeded the weight capacity on it? Checking the website I think it says it's rated to 1500lbs? I know that's a static test but I'd have thought I was still nowhere near to breaking it?

What kind of weights should it be able to handle?

I have one of the first of these and mine is fine I have deadlifted 230 a few times no problem and dropped it from overhead with over 100 on and it still spot on.

I just bought a pair of these http://www.strengthshop.co.uk/olympic-dumbell-handle.html and they're unbelievably good for the price. They arrived in less than 48 hours too Happy

Yeh I'm the only person with Keys to the gym and the room where I store it. I'll email some pictures over today. I was surprised myself when I noticed it because it looked like a top class bit of kit. Unhappy

New suit arrived today Buzz, thanks very much indeed. Fit's pretty much bang on, took a good 5 minutes to get it up and snug around my hips and fat arse Grin There'll be a little wriggle room if I was to use talc and the straps give a good amount of flexibility depending on what I'll be doing in it. I'll pull a few light singles in it after work just to see what it's like.

So people can size them accurately, here are my vitals:

Strength Shop Power Suit Size XXL

Weight 137kg
Chest 54"
Waist 40"
Hips 43"
Top of thigh 31"
Mid Thigh 28"
Height 6'2"

Hope that helps Happy

No probs Vanilla, and thanks for the sizing info/guidelines, will be handy when advising others on the sizes.

Used mine a couple of times, really like it. Stitching could be stronger imo, but the material and design itself seems great. Had the needle and fishing gut to mine already Happy

Buzz, whats the difference between light and comp grade spider tacky?

Spider Tack Competition Grade is a tacky for loading Atlas Stones. It is the stickiest tacky on the market. It maintains its stickiness in the cold and heat better than all other tackys, it goes on easy, and will improve your stone loading performance.

Spider Tack Light is a less viscous version of Spider Tack, the premier tacky for loading Atlas Stones in Strongman. Light is easier to apply, easier to get off, and is pliable in colder temperatures than regular Spider Tack, while maintaining its extreme stickiness.

In my own words, Light is just a bit softer tacky, ideal for training with, especially in the winter when other tackys become a c**t to apply and probably more so clean up.
