We have now listed 20 hotels in Bournemouth and Poole as well which offer a range of quality and prices for those travelling to Bournemouth. We hope to give specific details of the Championship hotel in the near future and transport details for all concerned. percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq | Commonwealth Championship Hotel is THE VILLAGE,Bournemouth.All bookings at special rate £24 per person per night in shared twin/double room with full breakfast must be made direct to Carol Parker after you are nominated by your country.They should provide her contact details. This is a large(168 rooms) ,modern, quality hotel with several bars,restaurant,swimming pool (25m) and fitness centre. Transport to and from the competition venue,Bournemouth University(4 miles away),is being arranged.A bus service will also operate every hour throughout the day and a taxi rank is just outside the Hotel. If you(GBPF MEMBER) have not chased up your Home Countries representative to get considered for selection then now is the time to do it if you want to compete. England are sending a full team and if for some reason a lifter is not available they will consider the next on the rankings. Regular meetings have taken place involving the University,the organising team and the Hotel.The banquet and presentation will be held on the final evening at the VILLAGE Hotel. Any lifter who needs to train in Bournemouth in the period leading up to the Championship will be able to do so at Bournemouthbarbell .Just call me to make arrangements.
