i have also recently purchased some fat gripz so hope that they to will help, the chiro explained that the different grip will alter the strain on the wrist n forearm n should also help

Be careful with using fatgripz too often as the more open your grip the greater the chance of damage to your tendons further up your arm towards your elbows. My physio seemed to think my elbow tendonitous was due to this when training with axle deads and cleans and the thick grip farmers. Thats just my opinion and everyone is different just thought id mention it.

You might be surprised by how difficult a number 2 is to close when you first try, even though you're a big strong guy. CoC grippers are pretty hardcore.

Is it?? I think you'll find it is 195lb.

Gray .. if it is for 'rehab' then I really don't think you need anything like a #2 as you are just looking to provide light stimulation so start off with a trainer or #1 to get a feel for them. As someone else said they are addictive and you'll soon find yourself wanting to move up to the harder ones.

Hi mate,
Firstly what ever treatment you are having is important to get rid of the scar tissue. I pressume it's some deep massage.

Regarding the tendons, I have to ask which tendons are stretched?
You need to know this, so you know what needs strengthened. Also is that injury healed now? As this is important too, because if not, you will injure it more.

The problems with a gripper is it is one strength, ie. like having one barbell. Is it too heavy or too light! If you were going down the path of a gripper then an adjustable one would be better.

Gripper work stresses the fingers in a crushing move, and out of all grip work is a bit more technical. Grippers may not be what you need.
I don't quite see how something can be 'perfect' if the physio hasn't seen it or used it.

Just trying to help you out.
David

195 is the spring tension, 109 is the amount of pressure needed needed to close it, sorry ill stop being geeky.

Gray, i would follow Davids advice.

Closed number 2 today. First time tried. Never tried any heavier than a s**tty sport shop one.

I guess a 2.5 is a massive step up?

Well done Adam.

I've decided that I dislike them and can't be arsed with them.
