Ali just needs to add Platform 1 above the column starting with the Ladies and Platform 2 above the column starting with 60/67.5 men.(my omission)
Lifters on Saturday at 10am using platform one are the ladies up to 63 who squat,squat,squat,--- then the second ladies group (70-80) lift squat, squat, squat, afterwards on the same platform 1.Then the same procedure with bench and deadlift follows.
This, l believe, is the appropriate rule/convention to ensure that both MENS groups in each weightclass have the same referees/equipment and general environment. This applies to all mens classes. All male lifters in one class use the same weights/platform/referees/MC/etc.
Therefore on platform two both groups at 67.5 men, follow each other in rotation as described for the ladies.Strongest group ALWAYS second.
As stated elsewhere the strongest group will either be decided by athletes pb or by starting weights. This we believe is the fairest way to do it.
I have details on everybodies best total in competition and we may use this to decide on the membership of the groups, if we decide not to use starting weights.
Sounds complicated but is straight forward.Lifters will be informed which group in their weightclass they are in at the weigh in or shortly afterwards.
Please do not hesitate to contact me and l will explain your own timetable of lifting if this "mass of words" appears complicated.LOL.It is intended to ensure fair play to everyone in each weightclass .

I think that the group 1's lift on platform A whilst simultaneously the group 2's lift on platform B with each platform running as a mini competition (all squat, then bench, then deadlift)
So for the 90's
At 10:00am
Platform 1
90kg men group 1
100kg men group 1
Platform 2
90kg men group 2
100kg men group 2
So it will be like lifting in a 2 flight competition - 90kg group 1 men will squat whist 100kg group 1 men warm up for squat. The the 90kg group 1 men will warmup for bench whilst the 100kg group 1 men squat etc.....

Sorry Macca that is wrong. Both groups in each class must have the same refs etc

Which ever way the 82.5kg class is split Paul ,your pb total or your opening squat will surely place you in the strongest 82.5kg group.Your group (we assume confidently group 2) will squat after group 1 complete three squats each.And-- then as normal the two groups lift back to back with bench and deadlift. The other platform (1)being occupied by the 75kg class.
On Sunday morning when the 90kg lifters(G1 and G2) perform on platform one, the 100kg guys(G1 AND G2 ) lift on platform two.Look forward to seeing you Paul and Kendrick lifting on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Regards to all,
Paul

Yeah - I get it thanks Paul Grin

As kenders has already said, it's very good of you to get this information up so early - It makes planning the day so much easier and not just for me as a lifter, but for family and friends that want to come down and watch.

Top work my friend!

Finalising the schedule of referees ,spotters and loaders etc which is extensive and demanding with 70 lifting on Saturday and another 54 on Sunday.I hope to increase the number of officials and helpers during the next few days to ensure no one is overburdened.Running two platforms takes TWO of everything plus coordination demands which will require patience, cooperation and understanding from everyone.
We are very pleased that WIM BACKELANT the WDFPF President is coming over to the Championships and has agreed to run his administration/computerised scoring system and share the MCs duties running one of the platforms.Music will be pitched fairly low as two MCs need to coordinate without challenging loud music to contend with as well.
May l take this opportunity to say a big thankyou to all the officials and referees who have agreed to officiate at this Championships.
We recognise the commitment and effort of the lifters who have entered and look forward to seeing them in action in just over a week.
Regards,
Paul

With the WDFPF European Championships being held at Bournemouth University on May 7th and 8th, competition at the British for those vying for places in the Home Countries teams is quite challenging.Over 16 entries in most weightclasses make for a busy weekend.Final preparations at B.U. are underway and 2000kg of weight are being moved in to equip 5 warm up platforms and 2 competition platforms.
Not long now.Final entry from invited lifters is 124.

Paul
