tryst
Sweet squatting the other day! That mightve contributed to your sore elbows on the bench, had bother with that before, made light weights feel like a ton on way down. Should clear up no probs after wee rest tho if same thing.

Cheers mate! Certainly sounds similar to what youve had. Felt very weak bringing the bar down but fine pressing it. And i think its the squats that might aggravated them tbh. Hopefully with a bit of rest and some rehab stuff with bands ill be fine for benching on monday. Was meant to be squatting tommorow but will have a go at some front squats instead. Nice bench PB by the way!

Your training is going like an express train man well done. Nice to see the kettlebell work in there too. Gotta love that conditioning.
I always wondered, what do you listen to on that personal stereo of yours when you're lifting?

Cheers dude. Yeh gonna be starting alot more of the kettlebell stuff next week hoping to get a bit fitter. Might o some tommorow aswell. Haha its a mix of stuff really but if its a tough lift im going for im a fan of Slipknot. Just like to listen to music while i excercise.

Was planning on squatting today but my bicep tendons were sore yesterda and want to give them a little rest before i bench next. So decided on front squats and quite fancied some deadlifts too.

Front Squats
Bar x loads
40kgs x 5
60kgs x 5
60kgs x 5
80kgs x 3
80kgs x 3
90kgs x 3
90kgs x 3
100kgs x 3
100kgs x 3

Deadlifts
70kgs x 5
120kgs x 5
170kgs x 2
200kgs x 2
220kgs x 3 - Beltless PB(til next time)

Kept everything beltless and called it a day after the deadlifts as thats the third in time in a week ive deadlifted and gone over 200kgs everytime. Surprisingly dont feel sore or fatigued from them. The front squats felt quite hard but i havent done them in a long time so ill build up the weight slowly. The set of 220kgs i tried to get on film but the battery on my phone ran out so no such luck. All 3 reps on this weight were VERY quick so im looking forward to building up to a single

Cheers dude. Yeh i found the front squats quite hard because i was going a bit deeper than normal back squats and also staying upright to keep the bar on my shoulders. Enjoyed them though so think ill be doing them more regularly.

Fancied doing some conditioning work today so got the kettlebell out and did some complexes in the living room.

20kg Kettlebell Complex
15 x Right arm Swings
15 x Left arm Swings
15 x Double arm Swings
15 x Bodyweight squats
5 sets x 60 Total reps

Also did some rehab/prehab stuff with bands for my shoudlers and bicep tendons and messed about with "naked" getups to try and perfect the technique.

Really enjoyed the complex i did last time so i did the same today except for 5 sets. Found my back pumped up alot after about the second set but just carried on and finished what i had planned. Good session that got the heart really going.

Went in for some bench and squats today with supersteel101. Good little session.

Bench
Bar x loads
60kgs x 5
60kgs x 5
80kgs x 5
100kgs x 3
110kgs x 3
115kgs x 3 - PB
105kgs x 3
105kgs x 3

Squats
Bar x loads
40kgs x 5
60kgs x 5
80kgs x 5
100kgs x 5
120kgs x 3
140kgs x 2 (Belt on)
160kgs x 2
175kgs x 2 - PB

Got a video of the 175 x 2 and looking back my form was a little ragged to say the least but im still happy with it as i felt i could maybe have gotten another rep. The depth looked iffy but ill see what its like once ive uploaded it. Was happy with bench as well but need to keep my form consistent on these aswell. The sets on 105kgs felt alot better technique wise. Left it there after the squats. Should mibi have done some assistance for bench but will do some upper back work after deadlifting tommorow. Did lots of bicep rehab stuff after bench and squats and they felt great.

Meaty deadlift pb well done.
I used to listen to the knot too when I was training back in the day. "Here comes the pain" being my start.

Cheers guys. Yeh its the best thing for getting yourself in the right mindset. Personal favourites for getting fired up are are "people=s**t", "disasterpeice" and "let it out". Have to look up "here comes the pain". Would love to see them live!

Yeh guess it is. Ill edit it to say it is. Ill also decide whether to claim the 175kgs as a PB once the videos up.

Judging depth from the back and an elevated position is always difficult, from memory it looked high on the video but from my perspective looking into the mirror they looked in, tough one to call really.

Todays Squats: 175kgs x 2

Im not too sure about depth as its not easy to see but after some pausing of the video at the bottom of the squats they both look to be just in. Not hugely bothered but views are welcome.
