Weight loss was a "side effect" rather than a goal in itself, if you know what I mean.
I was a fat bas***d and didn't feel great, constantly sweating, squats for 5x5 had me struggling for breath etc. I needed to get fitter so started cycling a lot - I always ate pretty clean so didn't alter the diet much.
I got to 17 stone 8 or 9 but my weight has settled around 18 stone - I'm 18 stone 0 right now and have been for about 3 weeks. My waist went from 42 to 36, which was great.
Don't plan to lose or gain, again the weight is a side effect of what I'm doing rather than a goal in itself.
I want to get back to my old PB's - and ultimately pass them of course - while staying fit and not getting fat again.
I have considered trying to make 105kg ( 16.5 stone ) but I don't think it's realistic, just as long as my waist stays about the same and I stay fit I'll be happy.

Ab work, crunches, 5x9.

Pushed for time so called it a day at that.
Legs getting sore from Squats, long way to go !

Deadlifts raw, 205kg ( +5kg ), 5x5.

Heavy and a bit slow near the end, but a step in the right direction.

Yes mate, still labouring away in the cabin.
I know it's plush compared to Big T so I shouldn't really moan but it's fecking chilly in there of an evening !
No scrimping on the warm ups this time of year.

Seriously considering entering a couple of PL comps this year, unequipped.
I REALLY want that 300 raw deadlift and I want it sharpish.

Kettlebell sounds like fun.

Don't forget to let me know what variety of ale you want in return for WSM Jonny.

In my opinion you look to have been a lazy s**t with training. Pull your finger out of your ass and get some weights lifted.


Oh and give me that fancy bike of yours - youll be able to lift more then.

i am doing a raw PL comp in march ..it will be a saturday afternoon-sunday affair ... come down with me ... im taking jack ..we can share a hotel room nail some Pb's , ill lock jack in the bathroom whilst we cuddle ... no need to join any fed ..but 35 entry ... march 27th ...its time

no need for ale !! ill sort WSM and everyone loves chrimbo !!

I have been a lazy s**t Chris, I moved my business premises and training got sidelined. Back in the groove now mate, ready for some graft.

its a charity event (plus qualifier) lee price is running (in maidenhead) ...you can do all 3 or deadlift only .... its time , if you dont do it now , you never will .... its gonna be a fun day !!!!

Jonny, count me in mate.
I will no doubt be bringing my fine maiden to support me, but can travel down together if you like mate.

I will need pointers, and also would like my mates on here to badger the crap out of me to train properly until the comp. I don't want to make a complete t**t of myself and would like to make some decent raw lifts on the day.

First question, will they insist on me wearing a belt or is it properly RAW ?

Yesterdays sesh :

Seated Cable Rows, 105kg, 5,5,5,5,4. Form going towards the end. Getting annoyed with these as I have been stuck on this weight for 4 sessions and just can't seem to make the reps.

Lat Pulldowns, 75kg, 3 sets of 5 wide grip, 3 sets of 5 narrow grip.

Ab work, 5 sets of 9 crunches.
All because the lady loves a chunky monkey in 36 inch Jeans Wink
