Member 1478, 525 posts SQ 300, BP 160, DL 285745.0 kgs @ 130kgs Eq | DAY 3 OF HEAVY WEEK Had a good session today, thank god for squat rack and moose when i attempted second rep on 180kg ha ha, only thing safetys are too short by 6 inch to just sit down, was fun though!! Squat 90x3/110x3/130x3/150x3/170x3/180x1/140x2 leg Curl 75x8/85x8/95x8 DB Stiff legged Deadlift 36x6/40x6/42x6 BB Lunge just tried getting technique on these, still need some work Hanging Knee Raises 12/13/16 Time for a rest day i think, but again everything still going forward so cant complain | ||

I went for dumbells on bench due to been stuck on 110kg on bar, so hopefully a couple of weeks on dumbells should help push forward, got a good cardio off db clean and press, and a PB on dips for me, well chuffed!! | ||

Member 1478, 525 posts SQ 300, BP 160, DL 285745.0 kgs @ 130kgs Eq | Todays session (WED) Squat 90x8/110x8/130x8/150x5 DB Step Up 18x12/18x12/18x12 Leg Extension 65x8/75x10/85x10 Donkey Raises 50x10/50x12/50x14 Pinch Grip with a reverse curl 2x5kg platesx10/12/10 plus held as long as i could(not very much longer ha) Hanging Knee raises 16/16/12 Had a good session today, had to go easy on squats and do donkey raises instead of smith raises because my lower back was still very tender from yesterdays excuse of a workout!!! | ||

Member 1478, 525 posts SQ 300, BP 160, DL 285745.0 kgs @ 130kgs Eq | play day Had a little comp day today DB Clean and Press for reps in 90secs 28kg=27reps Squats for reps in 90 secs 120kg=13reps Plate Stack Lift for reps 90sec 3x25kg=13reps Not bad to start with, went really deep on squats. Just woundering though how deep to train on squats?? if any one can let me know i would be very gratefull To finish off session Cable Wrist Curl 17.5x15/31.5x20/42x12 Reverse Cable Wrist Curl 24.5x25/31x17/35x20 Then just played around on squats with 120 and 110 debating on how deep you should really go for strongman, and if we should just train for deep squats or go for just between deep and parrerell (ignore spelling) | ||

I normally go as low as i physically can on my warm-ups and then below parallel on working sets. Check out some powerlifters squats on you tube, that will give an idea of the correct depth. | ||
