Got this journal running over on MT, but thought I may as well stick it in here too, seeing as this is more the sort of training im doing, plus im working towards JTs comp in a few weeks.

Monday 19th October

Overhead & Squats

One Arm DB Press
1 x 24kgs
1 x 30kgs
1 x 36kgs
1 x 40kgs
Right x 44kgs, Failed Left.*

Push Press Medley (Just with the barbell, done as quickly as possible)
1 x 50kgs, 60kgs, 70kgs, 80kgs, 90kgs**


Military Press
6 x 70kgs

Zercher Squats***
6 x 50kgs

6 x 70kgs
1 x 100kgs
1 x 110kgs
1 x 120kgs
1 x 130kgs

Back Squats
1 x 130kgs
1 x 140kgs
1 x 150kgs
1 x 160kgs
F x 170kgs

Notes
* Really pleased with this, had to change my technique as I was basically cheating with what I was doing previously

**Again, really happy to get the 90kgs out, decent pace too

***Never tried these before, thought they would be good practice for lapping the stones at JTs comp, felt pretty good - murder on the arms tho!

And that was it, was piss-wet through, i was having issues with the tacky and I needed to get ready to go the match (which was rubbish), pleased to load the 80kgs to 60" on my first attempt as thats the highest ive ever done, plus its the comp opener.

* - Pleased with this, not particularly fast, but got everything lifted
** - Er, what the f**k?! Im going to blame the fact that I had no chalk, and not my lame grip!!
*** - VERY worried about the farmers, absolutely garbage - blame no chalk!!!

*Pleased to pull 220kgs, 230kgs would have been a pb, but it didnt move a bas***d inch!

**Absolutely f**king made up to put 100kgs overhead, nice little milestone for me, think the 100kg power clean might be a pb too.

Im off to celebrate with thai food!

Solid deadlifting.

Lifting stones in the rain is a waste of time, if its wet out I don't even bother trying.

Yeah it was kind of demoralising wrestling a 105kg stone in the wet, but just trying to get as much practice on them in the next two weeks cos i stink at stones!

Watch out Boar, im coming for your 130kg overhead*

*DISCLAIMER - this may take many, many years, and the addition of bionic arms.
