The fourth occurred quite quickly and carried some confidence, when that confidence was proved to be misplaced, it was kettle on, pencil and paper out and much scribbling. I am now of the opinion that there was probably only one word that it could have been but I did consume a whole cup of tea in the finding of it. I quite enjoyed this today but would have enjoyed it more if guess number four had been correct. Or would I ? | ||

He had a battered face that looked as if it had been hit by everything but the bucket of a dragline. It was scarred, flattened, thickened, checkered, and welted. It was a face that had nothing to fear. Everything had been done to it that anybody could think of. The above extract is from Farewell, my Lovely by Raymond Chandler. I was reminded of it by the Bishop and the stained glass window quote. Not so easy to slip into casual conversation but I do like this. I hope you do too | ||

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17903 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Wednesday, 31st January, start 15:15 Squat, sleeves and boots and for a change a belt as well 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 30 x 3 40 x 3 50 x 3 belt on from here 60 x 3 70 x 3 80 x 3 90 x 3 100 x 3 110 x 3 120 x 3 130 x 3 130 x 3 130 x 3 130 x 3 130 x 3 I have tried to do fives threes at 130 for the last couple of Wednesdays and failed on both. But this all went really rather well tonight, for the first time in a long time I managed to get all four fingers of each hand around the bar so that indicates some improvement in shoulder mobility and whether this is shoulder related or not but this was quite a bit easier than I had expected. Happy days | ||
