A quick and easy four. I used the old factfinders on a whim

I am unsure as to whether or not this switching from old to new factfinders is a blessing or a curse. I am not a fan of indecision

A three which could easily have be a two, four or five. No real point in tactical guessing after my opener.

Quite the kerfuffle in my hometown this afternoon. The wind brought some scaffolding down and totally closed one of it's two mains streets for a few hours. The police closed the roads and had to re-direct a shedload of traffic. Happily as I live here and know the place like the back of my hand I was able to get to the gym no problem and by the time I came home all was well.

Now the fun bit, back in the day when people were sensible we had a local police force. They would all have known the area as well, if not better than I do and they would have sorted it jack quick. In these foolish times of worshipping the great god of saving a few bob, police were imported in from wherever it was they came from. So they had to close off, and direct people around streets they were totally unfamiliar with.

Tres amusing as the French say. And more than a little sad tooUnhappy

A rather inspired four if I may say so

I consider this a rather un-wordle like word, though I couldn't explain why. Hence "inspired"

I agree completely with that and I can’t explain why either. It wasn’t that it was a rum word, but it just didn’t seem to ‘sit’ right and there is no logical reason why I thought that.

We appear to have become a country that know the price but never the value, at least when it comes to public spending. It's an utter tragedy in so, so many ways.

Gxxxx and then it could only be

I'm minded to agree with m'learned colleagues on both the nature of the word and my inability to justify said mind.

A slow 5.
AvatarBod
A satisfactory four. I could see three possible options after the second guess and so a four was a par score today.

Yet another four

Had a little senior moment with the third, as I failed to put the correctly placed fourth letter in its correct fourth place. It did provide other useful information though.

I offer this information in the interests of full disclosure and in the knowledge that other, superior wordlers will see that and think, "that can't be right, the idiot".

It is right and I am an idiot. But hopes are high that I may be less dense tomorrow

Another 3, I think that is 5 on the bounce; it can't continue

Wednesday, 13th December, start 15:15

Squat, sleeves and boots on
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
30 x 5
40 x 5
50 x 5
60 x 5
70 x 5
80 x 5
90 x 5
100 x 5
110 x 5
110 x 5

All went well until I walked in the 110, I felt a twinge on the first step. During the second set I felt it on every one, only a slight thing but enough to bring the evening to an end. Annoyed
