Went to Belfast for pints at the weekend. Had oysters starter with lobster and prawns Friday. Saturday I went to George's market and had a titanic breakfast bap with potato bread, sausage, bacon, egg, mushroom and onion. Shared a fillet steak roast with pepper cream spaghetti for dinner. Also a Chinese which was sub par.

2 Free range pork cutlets last night, simply seasoned and grilled, cooked eating weight was 400g.

Finished up with 250g of boneless and skinless chicken thighs.

Trying to keep food simple at present to avoid any gut issues and flare ups. Also trying to drop a big of timber and improve health.

The above has seen me fall back into my simple diet approach of borderline paleo and carnivore style eating.

Yes, Eck Cowie, I had much much grey mullet the other day. Total cost zero!

Today literally seconds before my workout, I was munching Jollof rice.
Intra-workout I was munching pretzels.
Immediately post-workout I had 250g of baby biscuits, with approx 600ml of lactose-free milk. (1,584 kcals in an easy dessert form)

Thursday BBQ was starter of chicken skewers with Buffalo marinade served with blue cheese dip and celery and radish.

Then Korean pear marinaded roast pork belly and ribeye beefsteak with kimchi, grated chili cucumber on cos lettuce with miso based dip. Roast pork was fantastic, cooked in vinegar for 3 hrs in oven, then marinated overnight in blended pear, chili, soy, onion, honey. Then glazed on bbq.

Then Eaton Mess with Wexford strawberry.

It was a good eating week for pleasure, and a bad eating week for shape.

Friday and Sunday I was at the Kantina event at Freight Island.

Tuesday I lunched at Society and had dinner at Six by Nico.

Friday, I lunched at L'Enclume, in what would certainly be one of the best three meals of my life.

Siganus Luridus aka Dusky Spinefoot. There are SO many of them in the summer, yet it's been unseasonably mild so the waters have barely warmed up. 2 of them, coated in a little flour and fried in olive oil, followed by oats. I decided to weigh a bowl of oats, and surprisingly 150g of raw oats isn't too much.

I'll be making watermelon wine in a bit Grin

I have had to take over dinner duties on Mondays

Yesterday Avocado salad, Mixed Pulse Curry with Naan/Flatbread I was really pleased with the bread especially as it was a first attempt.

The Feedback from the Wife very tasty but felt like 2 sides and no main......Thats because no dead mammals were added.

Last night was leftovers...

4 roasted chicken thighs and 4 sausages.

At 20:30 though I was hungry again so had 6 fried eggs and 3 bacons.

Disappointing day of food to be honest.

Lunch was chicken shish, lamb shish, shish kofte, rice, salad, few mezes.
Wasn't hungry but have a glut of apricots so ate about 3lbs of them around dinner time.
10pm - fried chicken, chips, courgettes, yoghurt.
10:30pm - watermelon.

I also made watermelon wine. It's pretty potent.

Jews Mallow (dried leaves, a bit similar to spinach), cooked in the pressure cooker for a few hours with lamb, beef, onions, tomatoes, garlic. I have some tuna marinating in olive oil, and some more pancake batter mix.

I honestly can't remember what food I had today except for 2 tuna steaks with spaghetti bolognese for breakfast. Mainly been eating watermelon and halloumi today. Got 4 halloumi and salami sandwiches right now on "English" bread. Cut into triangles. Notalgia feels.
