Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22041 posts | I've got some An(g)usol, but I don't rate it. Sudocrem is superior for this purpose.

Member 5201, 62 posts SQ 260, BP 180, DL 315755.0 kgs @ 94kgs UnEq | I only use DOH. Mixed grip puts my shoulder alignment in an unfamiliar position and my biceps aren't the most flexible. I'll wear straps for any rep work over 200 (majority of my work is with straps) and use hook grip fot heavy singles and in comp. Managed to hold 305 in comp comfortably at 88kg so IMO wearing straps isn't going to massively disadvantage you.

Sugdens very own David Dimbleby Member 1403, 3716 posts SQ 220, BP 115, DL 260595.0 kgs @ 97kgs UnEq | Ahh how I have missed threads like this. I was 'lol-ing' at the term mushroom cap, satchel and the bit about pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre. Incidentally I have not used mixed grip for some time (many years) now and I think that many years of using mixed grip has made my upper back/shoulders unbalanced. Consequently I only do DOH (maybe straps when it fails) deadlifts now. Mixed grip is cheating anyway so there. Long live Sugden and thread derailing.

AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5206 posts | I love hook grip Have been doing it for nearly 3 years Even high rep sets I don't use straps and with bars with plenty of knurling I used to hate rep work, but I genuinely feel very little pain or discomfort now Couldn't go back to mix grip if you paid me!
