Found a coat and it was really good to actually have a choice for once, also got a couple of pairs of jeans and a belt. The market bears the legend "open every day" but it doesn't. The website states that the main market is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. But that the food hall was open Monday through Saturday but until lunchtime on a Tuesday. They are playing fast and loose with the term "open" here. Yes it was open, but out of thirty or so stalls only two were open. So to all intents and purposes it was closed. I don't mind how they run their business, but "open every day" only means one thing. bas***ds. It is far better than Manchester but it is a horrible place. | ||

The first two were fine, but the third was incomplete. My arse came up at the start, but I managed to shove it back down, and I did finish the rep but only with the slight assistance of Steve and Haydn tickling the ends of the bar. Bah ! Close grip bench 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 100 x 5 Not a powerlifter (other than me) to be seen tonight. Four weightlifters and a couple of locals. Very quiet. | ||

She is young and firm and beautiful and seemed energized by the experience, whereas I microwaved a meal, shovelled it in, made tea and barely made it through the second emmerdale before being swept into the arms of Morpheus* and away to the land of dreams. Tbar row 20 x 8 30 x 8 40 x 8 50 x 8 60 x 8 70 x 8 80 x 8 70 x 8 The eighty was a shade harder than I remembered and I struggled, so I dropped it ten for a more enjoyable last set Pulldown to front, wide grip 50 x 10 55 x 10 60 x 10 65 x 10 70 x 10 70 x 10 70 x 10 These were a dream tonight Very mild tonight weather wise and not many down, just three weightlifters and one other powerlifter, but there was some nice lifting to be had. One of the younger, female weightlifters set new fewer than eight pbs in the one session. How about that then? | ||

The comp finished a something to two and Joe and I went for a burger but back in the car park, MrCarthy who now it would seem, lives in my head rent-free again became my conscience and so, the door was unlocked but the lights stayed off and so like a werewolf, cold, alone and in darkness, I benched. 20 x 15 20 x 15 20 x 15 40 x 5 50 x 5 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 90 x 5 90 x 5 The shoulders are feeling it today, I had nearly three hours in a cold gym during the comp this morning and that could have made the difference. It is cold and I am cold so there will be no heroics today, just enough to assuage my conscience and Mr.McC who once again, without realizing until he reads this has done me a favour. | ||
