Member 4480, 64 posts | I was messing about giving a mate a piggy back on top of a wall and fell off. The full weight of both of us landed on my arm and snap. My arm looked like an s bend. Luckily I didn't need open surgery, the docs just pulled it into place and set it. Sport related, I remember one of my rugby team got stamped on the bo***cks in a ruck. When they took him off to check him out he said they were bleeding. Some of the most spectacular accidents I've seen where I was sure the bloke must have been seriously injured or worse have been in motorsport. Especially the bikes. I've seen some massive and fast crashes, bodies flying through the air, only for the rider to get back up and try and get his bike going again. I remember seeing a rallycross mini roll about 4 times at high speed. In the middle of the third roll the drivers crash helmet came flying out the window. He crawled out the wreckage totally uninjured and took a bow to the audience. Very lucky indeed. | ||

Ended up completely tearing my ACL, PCL, one meniscus, dislocated kneecap and totally detached quadricep tendon. 2 weeks in hospital. Managed all that on yoke, best bit was is that I didn't stumble with it, I completed my 20m run and my knee blew on the put down. | ||
