I actually think haddock is a much nicer fish than cod, and much less likely to have worms etc I tend to either deep fry in batter, or shallow fry in breadcrumbs with home made tatrare sauce. Great in fish pie too. Haddock is also excellent smoked Ta. What I mostly do with cod when I buy it is just roast it uncoated. Might have to try that with the haddock, then. Smoked haddock I've had a fair bit, and I think I see more of it about. If I'm going smoked I'm usually going mackerel, though.

Wrong wording, sorry. It is a complete protein and does contain 3574mg of leucine per can. What I was trying to say is that Chicken breast, frozen or fish frozen, contain more leucine and are cheaper than tuna making them a better source on a budget.

You are like playing chess with a pigeon - No matter how good you are at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and then strut around like he has won. Smoked mackrel is great, although mackrel at its best grilled within a couple of hours of catching it I have a little home smoker, its nice to try different favours

And I disagree. Mackerel is BEST killed, gutted, sliced thinly, sprinkled with black pepper lemon juice, and eaten raw before it knows it's dead. But grilled a couple of hours later is a good second .

Not tried the mackrel that way though, but will take some lemon and pepper with me next time i go fishing Its also really good soaked in soy sauce then dipped in boiling water just long enough to cook the edges but leave the middle raw, although tuna that way is even better. Sadly can't catch that fresh here tho

I've had tuna in that style, it it's indeed great. Probably not great enough to justify the terrifying price tag, though...

Leucine is one of the three branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) and is unique in its ability to stimulate skeletal muscle protein synthesis. In fact, leucine has about a 10 fold greater impact on protein synthesis than any other amino acid.
