I honestly can't believe the front of some people! Our titles are already seriously watered down by the amount of national champs etc without people claiming to have titles they don't. Anything for a tiny slice of fame for some people!

is that not a kind of side note terry as the guys has had his Kit Stolen.

As terrible as it is I think the whole fact he is making such claims is very disrespectful to the probably 30-50 guys that are ahead of him in this country

I know the article is about his kit being stolen but I feel less sympathetic when someone bulls**ts so much

i can see your point Terry where there are very hard working guys plugging away to be a best as they can and this Article has diluted everything further.

I would imagine the headline 'Half decent open level strongman has kit nicked' might not make the national press...

Or 'mediocre open level strongman has one farmers walk handle nicked' in my case

Whether it is him or the journalists that have embellished a little is anyones guess...

I do wonder how much of this article has actually come from the guy in question mind? Hes only quoted as saying a couple of things and we all know what the press is like in this country for building a non story , could well be a local reporter trying to make a name for himself and "guiding" this guy with questions that can be interpreted as the reporter likes

Surely the daily mail should use a quotation mark instead of an apostrophe, as well as close quotes they've opened? It's probably used by people into strongman as selling custom, one of equipment would stick out like a sore thumb.

If you actually read the article it does say he was a one tine holder of Englands strongest man, and he is in training for the upcoming worlds strongestman challenge in september.. Somebodys telling porkies as unless the reporter is into the strongman scene I cant see where else he would have got his story from..

I have, he rang up the gym that was holding a comp we were both competing in to make a big thing of how he will beat me, 4 events in I had won every event and he was a way back then tore his bicep, this was in 2007 when he apparently won esm.
