not actually strong Member 5779, 811 posts SQ 220, BP 150, DL 285655.0 kgs @ 105kgs Eq | Yorkshires Strongest Man 2018 opens Event 1. 350kg car carry 20. Came 2nd, 12.8seconds. Had a good start but didnt go thought the gears as the grass was slippy and bumpy. O came 2nd. Event 2. 260 frame hold. 51seconds Had a bit left in me, but i was in lead with 1 person left to go, didnt see point ripping my hand and ruining stones later. I came 2nd again. Event 3. Conans wheel. I did just under 2 revs but disappointed, but had nothing left in my legs. Came 4th Event 4. 70 kg dumbell Managed 2 reps, again not as many as i hoped for, but legs had gone. Came 5th i think. Event 5. 165kg stone for reps. Needed 2 to come 3rd so i did 2, and left it at that. Happy with a podium today. Overall well happy, stuff to improve on, but got a tear im my back, so can focus on getting fixed up now. | ||

Monday Deadlift 150kg 8 doubles just about speed reps, working on keeping form tight too. Strict rows 100kg 3x6 Cable rows and cable pull downs Light and slow 3x12 G.h.r Dead hangs stretch. Today Squat 20kg x12 60kg x10 90 x10 120 x6 150 x3, then 4x5. All no suppports. Felt hard in all honesty. Leg extension ham curls Calf raises Row 3x500m so unfit Stretch | ||

Log complex dl.rdl.pc.pp 70 4x3 Bicep curls Tricep extensions Yoke 220 x20m Frame 45kg x60m 135 x20 225 x20 305 x3m wasnt chalked up or owt as wasnt expecting to pick it up in all honesty. Full session no belt or sleeves. Quite enjoyed this one, which was suprissing as im on a calorie deficit and work is streesful at the min. | ||

Jumped in with lads at end. Felt rusty but got better. | ||

not actually strong Member 5779, 811 posts SQ 220, BP 150, DL 285655.0 kgs @ 105kgs Eq | So i was going as a reserve but found out the night before that I'll be having to compete, (was only going for a holiday lol). Weighed in 104.5kg , dropped down from 117kg 2 weeks before, biggest cut to date, and in all honesty my worse as it was just a big calorie deficit. Day 1 Event 1. 350kg yoke, 300 frame, 3.5ton truck pull, then arm over arm. All 20m I did the yoke, managed it in 11-12seconds so up near my best. We came 3rd in this event. Event 2. 90kg circus dumbell. Ryan French managed to complete 1 rep for the team, i was miles off. Placed 6th Event 3. 270 axle dead, 250 axle squat, 160 stone. I was the loader for the stone. We placed 4th in this event. We finished day 1 tied with usa and canada for 3rd place. Day 2 Event 4. 130 log 130 axle 100 barrel. I didnt take part in this event due to being the weakest presser on the team. Placed 5th Event 5. 140 cylinder farmers 2x20, then 360 tyre 2x5flips. I was first up on farmers, got caught napping at the start wasn't braced to lift when the whistle went. Really poor grip.on them, but managed 20m in about 12s no drops. We placed 3rd on this. Event 6. 300kg frame 3x20m. Up against USA, all we need was to beat them and we would be taking home 3rd.... I did the middle leg in about 8-9 seconds. Amd we had about a 10m lead. The guy on the last leg his grip went, and as the lad who took over initially slid the frame we incurred a 3second penalty. We lost to america by less than 1.5 seconds with the penalty but it was fair as czeck had previously been penalised too. Ended up 5th overall. Devasted as we knew we were good enough for 3rd. | ||
