Whenever i deadlifted i seemed to destroy my lower back been physio rested but the week before the comp attempted to deadlift to which 200kg caused my back to spasim. Decided before the day i wasnt going to deadlift as would affect any events after it 1st Event Arm over Arm Rope seemed alot thicker to what i was used to. Set of and made sure got the grip right and used my legs to full effect. Managed to complete the course in 21 seconds 3rd place 2nd Event Axle FTOH - 105kg was told just befofe belt cleans would be allowed. I hadnt trained belt cleans so just stuck withb the belly. 6reps. Joint 2nd 3rd Event 310 yoke into 120 farmers yoke was abit slow but flew with the farmers 22.69 seconds and joint 2nd place 4th Event - 230kg deadlift knew with my points total a good run on stones would be enough for me not to come last so skipped this. Wise idea as totals were between 9-12 i think 5th Event - Stones 100kg. 110kg. 120kg. 135kg. 150kg to about 54inch Was placed in 3rd going into this event. Saw the two lads below me and lad in 4th got 3 stones knew i had to get 4 to take 3rd place. Managed all 5 stones in 40 seconds 2nd place ended up in 3rd place overall very happy with my performance in the comp and well done to all the lads who competed. Now to try and grt the back right for finals | ||
